Worldpay’s New Acquiring Platform (NAP) Engineering division specialises in delivering payment processing services to our customers and are looking for Engineers to join our team and take our systems to the next level.

What you will be doing

The Senior Oracle PL / SQL developer designs and develops reports, ETL and application code in response to business problems and participate as part of a team on development related work.

The Senior Oracle PL / SQL developer defines a technical solution based on business and technical requirements and writes application code to meet the technical solution.

Plans, designs and conducts tests of his artefacts; corrects errors and re-tests to achieve an error-free result. Conducts reviews of supplied specifications, with others as necessary, estimate implementation effort and documents all work in accordance with agreed standards.

Responsibilities / Tasks

Design :

  • Perform design reviews, provide input and estimate effort required for implementation
  • Design components / reports to meet the business requirements and the functional design
  • Identify data, define the data model and the integration strategy including rationale, integration environment requirements, and determine the product-component integration sequence
  • Assess and identify mitigation for risks, including those related to high level design, integration and data quality
  • Ensure architectural / design changes are implemented
  • Development :

  • Development of all the necessary report components layout, templates, PL / SQL code - including documentation, in accordance with the functional and technical design
  • Implement ETLs and data reconciliation routines
  • Integrate software components following the integration strategy
  • Verify integrated software components by unit and / or integrated software testing according to the software test plan.
  • Software test findings must be resolved.

  • Create builds and deployment baselines, deployment notes and operating instructions
  • Provide Level 3 support - maintenance of applications / reports by fixing defects / bugs and perform technical change requests scheduled according to Release Management processes.
  • What you bring :

  • Extensive / very strong skills of PL / SQL, Oracle functions, procedures, triggers, packages & performance tuning
  • Proven working experience in Reporting area with different reporting tools or frameworks
  • Experience in implementing ETL and / or data reconciliation routines
  • Working experience with different RDMS or DW (any of Oracle, MS SQL Server, others) and SQL language
  • Working experience with Oracle BI Publisher and / or Oracle Business Intelligence is a big plus
  • Ability to understand and design logical and physical data model
  • Financial and / or accounting knowledge is a big plus
  • SQL and application / reports performance analysis and tuning
  • Knowledge build and deployment processes
  • Strong analytical skills, able to solve business or production problems and to write high quality code
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical and non-technical issues
  • Highly collaborative, supportive and team player that demonstrates a proactive can do’ attitude
  • Responsive, assertive and drive a continuous improvement ethos in all interactions
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Passion about sharing knowledge and best practices
  • Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organizations
