This role sits in our EMEA Inquiry Management team in the HRServices organisation, a team of individuals providing transactional HRServices support for over 20 EMEA countries.

The current team are based out of Penang - Malaysia, Gdansk - Poland and Bucharest - Romania.

Within IHS Markit, HRServices sits under the umbrella HR function of HR Enablement . HR Enablement also includes HR Information Systems and HR Compliance.

We also have other HR functions including Business Partnering, Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment, Talent and Development.

Within EMEA, IHS Markit employs approximately 3,500 employees across 22 countries. We have employees based in the UK, Poland, Germany, South Africa, France, Belarus, Romania, Netherlands, Switzerland, Ireland, Russia, UAE, Italy, Denmark, Spain, Norway, Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Qatar and Czech Republic.

Your Role :

You will be a key member of the IHS Markit HR Services team. Reporting into EMEA Lead of Inquiry Management, who is UK based.

This role is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced HR professional, who has worked previously within an HRServices environment, or a candidate who early in their HR career and is seeking a role with broad interaction across the HR functions and interested in learning about the transactional and operational sides of HR.

This role will be responsible for all HR enquiries and administrative processes in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Nordics, Italy and Spain.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Build knowledge and understanding of HR policies, practices and procedures including employee benefits as this role will be responsible for responding to all queries ( tickets’) raised in Service Now (the internal HR case management system) by employees within the agreed Service Level Agreement (48 hours).
  • Review and approve all absence data requests in Workday (HR system) as required.
  • Provide visa letters for employees either travelling to a non-EU country or travelling within the EU on business.
  • Generate employment reference letters and certificates e.g. for childcare, finances or housing, etc.
  • Maintain both the physical employee files as well as e-files.
  • Provide information monthly regarding any employee changes, all types of leave, meal vouchers and gift vouchers in a report to EMEA payroll by agreed dates.
  • This information must back up the data already recorded in Workday (HR system).

  • Provide reporting to the relevant Government authorities as and when required.
  • Provide coverage for other EMEA countries during team holiday / sickness, as and when required.
  • Provide support through the end-to-end onboarding processes for all new hires in conjunction with the Onboarding Lead.
  • This includes both Workday and non-Workday (internal HR system) processes as needed to meet country specific requirements.

  • Support the offboarding process in conjunction with the Offboarding Lead both in and outside of Workday (internal HR system) ensuring follow up with the employee and relevant paperwork is processed and issued to employees and relevant Government authorities where required.
  • About You :

    You are motivated to have ownership of the HR processes and procedures for the French speaking countries, developing working relationships with the employees and managers in the countries and being the HR representative for them.

    Key Qualifications and Skills :

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a HR Services structure and ideally within a global organization.
  • Fluent in both French and English (written and spoken), with other European languages being a positive
  • Good working knowledge of Workday and / or Service Now would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, processes and system implementation to include France, Belgium and Switzerland.
  • Solution orientated mindset, committed to resolving issues and attending to customer needs in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail and accurate in providing information to meet the request from the customer.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and good judgement in resolving issues
