Job Description - EPM Solutions Engineer (Presales) (19000WRI) Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to join the Oracle Applications Solutions Engineering Hub (SE Hub) in Bucharest and to contribute to the growth of our sales and market share on EPM SaaS Business.

A large community of Solutions Engineers across EMEA and JAPAC engages the SCC team in a diverse number of ways, ranging from answering tenders, customizing demos and building prototypes to directly supporting partners and / or customers with specific requests.

A comprehensive training programme on Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management and the presales role will prepare you for supporting the field organisations across EMEA and JAPAC.

As a solution engineer, you have the chance to develop in a very broad spectrum, ranging from product expertise, customer interaction, communication and general IT market knowledge.

Successful Solutions Engineers are highly talented individuals that develop and combine business knowledge with product expertise and have the possibility to develop a career in many different IT (and non-

IT) functions. Also, they act as business partners within the Solution Engineering eco-system and are seen as trusted advisors by the Sales Community.

The candidate we are looking for has solid professional experience in Finance and Controlling and a very good understanding of the Finance processes (Planning and Budgeting or Financial Close & Consolidation).

Ideally, the candidate has some experience with an Enterprise Performance Management tool (Oracle Hyperion, IBM Cognos, SAP PBC etc.

and has a strong customer focus. He or she is comfortable in delivering presentations and is always looking to raise the bar of own skills and competencies.

Business skills :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Cybernetics, Polytechnics School or comparable
  • Very good understanding of Finance processes (planning and budgeting, financial close and consolidation, cost management etc.)
  • Previous exposure to an EPM system
  • Soft skills :

  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate messages very clearly and in a diplomatic manner
  • Openness to work with different languages and cultures
  • Self-motivated, agile and willing to continually adapt to change. You have the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges.
  • Ability to work in (virtual) teams. To get a specific job done often requires working together with many colleagues spread out in different countries
  • Eagerness to learn you enjoy the challenge of getting to master new products in a very short timeframe
  • Foreign languages :

  • Fluency (including writing) in English
  • Intermediate (CEFR B1) German, French, Spanish and / or Italian is an added advantage

    Detailed Description and Job Requirements

  • Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology / application to client business. Facilitation of customer product / application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks;
  • provision of support throughout the sell.As a Staff Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.

    Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate Oracle product*s strengths, features, benefits, and competitive advantages.

    Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.

    Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures.

    3 - 5 years business experience preferred; vendor experience also preferred. 3 years relevant computer applications or database / tools preferred.

    Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Knowledge of system and application design preferred. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
