We are looking for an SQL developer to join our Configuration Management team!
Is Oracle SQL no longer a mystery for you and want to help integrate new tools?
Do you enjoy making life easier for everyone by automating any recurrent time-consuming activities and using your SQL development skills to create complex queries?
You will enhance our customer's CMDB experience through data manipulation, which will add value to their business, but also through more efficient use of the tool (automation).
You will discover new interactions between the data center infrastructure and the business side of things.
Your day to day
Automate Configuration Management processes and activities in order to build and maintain the logical and physical service configurations of the infrastructure located in GDC datacentres and drive Configuration Management processes and tools evolution in line with the advancements in knowledge, technology and datacentre component catalogue.
With these activities you will have a great impact on our business
Define and maintain CMDB data model and discovery strategy : BMC Atrium Discovery & Dependency Mapping (Discovery) & BMC Atrium CMDB usage, administration and troubleshooting Design, develop and deploy solution based automation scripts for the tool and its related components Build and deploy bash / shell scripts in order to enhance the tool’s capability Download, test and apply tool’s version upgrades / patches
Participate in the integration of new DCs in the Configuration Management process : CMDB integration of data through ADDM or automatic data upload from other sources.
Automate CMDB data analysis, automatically identifying gaps, errors or inconsistencies in the loaded information, monitor the availability and accuracy of the infrastructure discovery tool and the data flow into CMDB.
Develop, build and deliver standard and ad-hoc Configuration Management Dashboards and Reports, include defined CI details and integrate additional, relevant data sources.
Ensure the continual improvement in Configuration Management CIs definition and relationship, data models, discovery and data analysis tools, in close collaboration with Technology Architecture and anticipating the evolution of the data centre standard solutions.
With these skills you are a great candidate
Detailed understanding of IT Enterprise Technology, Data Analysis, Business Intelligence and Statistics
High standard read / write capabilities in English
Experience in a multinational environment
Thorough knowledge of Data Centre IT standards, processes and architecture with a focus on infrastructure configuration management
Consolidated knowledge of the following areas :
Windows / *nix / VMWare infrastructure architectures and system administration
Enterprise Class Storage infrastructures including HDS or EMC DMX, SAN switches
Database infrastructure architectures (Oracle, Sybase, MsSql)
Structured knowledge and hands-on experience in automation of CMDB data input and manipulation
Knowledge and hands-on experience in BMC Atrium CMDB
Strong understanding of ITIL
Good understanding of SOX and Security regulations
