Country Data Protection Correspondent-005D91


The mission of the CDPC is to assist the CountryPresident, the Country operations andstaff in their compliance with the dataprotection obligations applying to their data processingactivities, including the deployment of the GDPR in all the legalentities in the Country.


The CDPC is a member of the Global Data ProtectionNetwork facilitated by the Group Data Protection Officer (Group DPO). The CDPChas a functional reporting role to the Group Data Protection Officer and to theCountry President.

The CDPC is the first level of contact within theCountry on data protection matters. The CDPC acts as the interface between theGroup Data Protection Office and the Country and works in collaboration withthe Group DPO Office.

The CDPC is the ambassador within the Country of the dataprotection culture and of the policies, procedures and processes developed bythe Group for the protection of personal data.

In this role, the CDPC will liaise on a regularbasis with the HR Data Protection Country point of contact(HRPC), the Customers Data Protection point of contact(CTDPC) designated for the Country, the in house legal counsels and the workscouncil.

Among its main tasks, the CDPC, for the Country will :

  • Advise and follow up on thecompliance action plans
  • Be the point of contact forData Subjects (employees, consumers ) and handle requests and claims
  • Be the point of contact forcustomers, suppliers and third parties and handle request and claims
  • Monitor the update of theinventory(ies) of data processing activities
  • Monitor the update ofcustomer and supplier contracts
  • Ensure that activities aresubject to appropriate data protection assessments
  • Maintain and update requested reporting
  • Work with the information security team and the GroupData Protection Office to address privacy related incidents
  • Collaborate with the Group Data Protection Officer incase of request or investigation by a Data Protection Authority
  • Communicate and train on data protection
  • Participate in the compliance initiatives launched bythe Group Data Protection Office, including roll out of policies and procedures

  • good knowledge of Schneider Electric country organisation,
  • strongcommunication, collaborative and organizational skills
  • command of Romanian and English
  • motivation to learn about data protection rules and GDPR. Initial trainingwill be provided by the Group Data Privacy Officer
