What we are looking for :

The H&S Specialist is involved in implementing the H&S tasks in our Brasov office, having main tasks related to the H&S as per the Romanian legislation, with additional administrative tasks.

Our new colleagues will be part of the Housing and Logistics department and will report directly to the H&L Manager. We are looking for this talented person to join our team in Brasov, Romania.

Key accountabilities :

to ensure that all statutory obligations are met and the working environment is safe and meets legal requirements, with the support of the H&S coordinator and external supplier.

  • to provide advice and guidance to staff and managers on relevant codes of practice and legislation, as required in the law 319 / 2006 and norms 1426 / 2006, seeking advice from the H&S coordinator and external supplier;
  • to support managers embed a safety culture into everyday operations as well as execute ongoing monitoring to ensure we are compliant and zero tolerant.

    to keep up-to-date with legislation and trends as well as utilize learning to drive continuous improvement as well as prevent and control risks

    be Secretary of the H&S Committee and all the tasks associated with this role

    ensure and coordinate the organization of evacuation drills in your location

    help the Business Continuity team with risk assessments, participate in exercises, follow up on issues found

    represent the company in legal checks on the H&S and Fire Safety part and make sure all the necessary documents are correct and in good order, with the centralized support of the H&S coordinator and the external supplier

    support the office environment with administrative tasks such as reception, courier and other office related requests, all for ensuring a safe and clean office.

    Desired Profile :

    To be considered for this excellent role you will need to demonstrate that your skills and certifications include, as required in the law 319 / 2006 and 1425 / 2006 :

    a diploma for education in a theoretical or technical highschool

    a diploma for graduating a legally recognized (diploma from the Labour Ministry) for an 80 hours course in Romanian H&S law would be a plus

    be an assertive person, with an eye for detail

    have good communication and presentation skills

    analyze, prepare and implement plans for the shortcomings identified

  • Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative;
  • Positive attitude, personal drive to achieve and exceed targets and support others in achieving targets;
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude : willing to undertake other ad hoc duties as required e.g. being involved in solving the immediate H&L priorities

  • Fluent English language skills, able to communicate with stakeholders on a day to day basis via telephone, email and face to face in a clear, caring, courteous and professional manner;
  • IT literate, competent MS Office, Word and Excel skills;
