  • As a Commercial Contract Executive, you will be a member of the EMEA Office of General Counsel (OGC) team. EMEA OGC provides advice and support to a wide range of commercial and operational departments within Xerox who in turn need to deliver on the business objectives regarding the sale and support of electronic products, including the management of distribution, software, services, and marketing matters connected to this;
  • compliance on ethics and regulatory matters, confidentiality and data management; the application and adherence to internal and external procurement rules and requirements throughout EMEA.

    These areas may change as Xerox seeks to transform its business, invest in innovation, and grow its presence in new forms of print production, software, cloud, the internet of things and AI based services.

    Supports all sales, service and supporting contracts across all Lines of Business in the UK and occasionally the wider EMEA OGC Team.

    NOTE : There will be a requirement to support across UK and Romania time zones at strategic periods. Purpose :

  • Support the business to maximise the revenue streams and profitability opportunities
  • Support and lead the drafting, negotiation and conclusion of commercial agreements, amendments, and modifications
  • Manage contracting activity across each of the business areas and with customers, to ensure compliance with internal and external controls
  • Work across multi-disciplined teams to ensure contractual obligations can be met
  • Assist the Commercial Contract Administrator with the generation, preparation and execution of agreements when the Administrator is out of office
  • Scope :

  • Lead virtual teams through contract approval process, advising on issues
  • Verify compliance with internal & external controls (including accounting policies)
  • Confirm operational requirements can be delivered
  • Ensure an appropriate level of risk is taken by the company
  • Validate that revenue and cost can be recognised in line with business case expectations
  • Support Sales and Legal with client contract negotiations
  • Take the lead in drafting and providing support internally and during client negotiations to close out commercial contracts designed to amend, extend and modify current commercial arrangements and occasionally managing new commercial opportunities
  • Facilitate final authorisation for non-standard contracts via Xerox governance process, escalating as necessary.
  • Support escalations to senior management advising on issues and risks
  • Manage the contract approval and compliance process for commercial contracts and contract modifications
  • Support the continuous improvement of contract approval and related processes
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to management on customer negotiations to facilitate an accurate revenue outlook.
  • Support day-to-day Commercial Administrator activities relating to contract approval process and reporting, as required.
  • Participate in the management of the Commercial Group Inbox.
  • Support process improvement and simplification projects across the department.
  • Requirements :

  • Experience with working in Legal, Finance, and Sales communities.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen, with the readiness to be flexible and innovative to meet customer needs and Xerox requirements.
  • Able to assess commercial contracts for risk and use discretion to waive non-mandatory’ requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Respond well to tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
  • Basic knowledge of contract law
  • Basic accounting knowledge an advantage
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Effective team player and action-orientated
  • Drive & enthusiasm to progress and take on additional responsibilities
  • Good level of IT literacy
