We are seeking a Business Line Strategic Pricing Leader to support our EMEA region.

Reporting directly the EMEA Strategic Pricing Leader, Business Line Strategic Pricing Leader is focused on leading the optimization of profitable share growth in the aftermarket business for the Business Line in Scope.

In close coordination with the Global Strategic Pricing Centre of Excellence and the Business Line Leader, Strategic Pricing BL Leader will be responsible for achieving profitable share growth and margin optimization objectives specifically through list price optimization, the roll-out of MSRP, optimization of GTN and overall pricing strategy across all channels for the Business Line in scope.

The Director will act as a subject matter expert following the strategic pricing 9 Step Process, leveraging pricing system and tools, working with the multiple stakeholders and providing insights for pricing analyses and decisions bringing analytical rigor, strategic insights and business judgment to pricing discussions.

The Manager will have responsibility to build, manage and develop the Strategic Pricing Plan for the Business Line in scope.

ROLE OVERVIEW

For the business line in scope :

  • In close coordination with the relevant Business Line Leader, Product Director and Manager designs and implements the 9 Step Strategic pricing strategies methodology leading optimized sales, share, profit, and customer segment penetration across product categories and channels.
  • Leads strategic and tactical planning process, including financial projections, price modelling, competitive benchmarking, and price sensitivity analyses across all customer segments
  • Establishes MSRP strategy and roll-out MSRP price lists to establish optimized price position landing double digit growth at the installer, online and retail level in close coordination with the Channel Pricing Leader
  • Formulates pricing rules and algorithms for all products within BL scope considering value segmentation of product lines and sub-brands in close coordination with the Optimization Engine Leader
  • Develops a deep understanding of customer segments, competitor offerings and market trends
  • Performs industry research on latest pricing techniques, systems, and competitive environment to understand our customer’s customer (installers) willingness and ability to pay and helps formulate value-based pricing efforts
  • Oversees competitive, market and customer data acquisition and maintenance as it relates to strategic pricing
  • Establish pricing structures at a regional and product segment level that drive share gain while maintaining margin goals and customer loyalty
  • Provides feedback to the development of dashboards that monitor price performance and empower sales and marketing department to deliver results.
  • Builds value-based pricing and selling tools to support channels and sales teams
  • Contributes to the optimization of pricing strategy for IKAMs in close connection with the members of EMEA Strategic Pricing Team and EMEA Pricing Team
  • Monitors key metrics and performance indicators determining list price actions
  • In close coordination with the channel pricing leader provides feedback on discount, promo and rebate structures at the channel / customer level
  • Oversees competitive, market and customer data acquisition and maintenance as it relates to strategic pricing
  • Manages all pricing research efforts in close coordination with the Global Strategic Pricing COE
  • Required Skills

    Preferred Qualification : Professional certification in pricing (Certified Pricing Professional, CPM certifications from PPS or EPP or equivalent) and change management

    Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Marketing, Statistics, Finance, or other business driven field required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional certification demonstrating domain expertise such as CPP (certified pricing professional) through the PPS (Professional Pricing Society) or EPP equivalent.

  • 10-15 years professional experience in Strategic Pricing / Revenue Management / Strategic Marketing, prior exposure to Sales and Finance is also helpful.
  • 7+ years of experience leading pricing programs with demonstrable experience driving profitable share gain
  • Strategic mind-set
  • Prior experience building MSRP and MAP strategy with successful roll-out and implementation. Knowledge of laws regarding MSRP especially in US and Canada
  • Proven experience presenting and communicating to C-Level stakeholders
  • Proven experience driving revenue, share and margin growth through pricing initiatives
  • Proven experience working on cross-functional projects and leading change management efforts
  • Excellent project management, quantitative and modelling skills required
  • Knowledge of pricing concepts, including elasticity, pricing waterfalls, margin pool analysis etc.
  • Strong background working with financial statements and drivers of profitability
  • Prior experience implementing pricing software in multi-national setting
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Preferred Qualification : Professional certification in pricing (Certified Pricing Professional, CPM certifications from PPS or EPP or equivalent) and change management
