The Role :

  • This role is responsible and accountable for achieving defined Prolia sales targets for primary care business, establishing and managing high quality relationships to maximise sales of Amgen's products within the defined territory towards HCPs and other stake holders.
  • This includes face to face interactions, set up of local and regional promotional and scientific events and contribution / participating in organizing / representation in larger national events when required.

  • In collaboration with the line manager, the Key Account Specialist is responsible for implementing an agreed plan of action in line with the marketing strategy.
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a sales-related job;
  • Bachelor’s degree in medical sciences or life science (bio)
  • Excellent product promotion and sales skills
  • Good experience with computer systems
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Knowledge of health care environment, orientation in the system of regional and faculty hospitals, private and other health facilities
  • Exposure to interactions with various disciplines and organizational levels
  • Exposure to project management principles
  • Experience of working in osteoporosis field
  • Responsibilities :

  • Collaborates with manager to develop, agree and implement territory POA and key account plans. Achieve POA
  • Designs and prepares a strategy for a given region and hospital
  • Evaluates progress vs plan monthly, and agrees to course corrections with manager where necessary
  • Collaborates with the team members to agree on key account plan objectives / responsibilities
  • Engages with peers to learn / teach best practices.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of industry and healthcare trends, of how retail practices, clinics and hospitals operate.
  • Provides feedback to product / sales management on competitor activity
  • Follows through on customer commitments and requests in a timely fashion
  • Develops and maintains up-to-date customer / key account / market understanding
  • Reports customer activity in the Customer relationship management (CRM) system and ensures customer profiles are kept up-to-date
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Amgen Performance 4 selling platform to satisfy customer and Amgen needs
  • Operates within the agreed expense budget aligned with POA priorities
  • Continuously develops and improves product knowledge, communication and selling skills through self-learning and active participation in agreed training programmes
  • Seeks advice and assistance to organize activities
  • Ensures open communication and shares best practices
