Who we are looking for :
We are currently looking for a Consultant to join our Financial Services Risk & Regulation (FSRR) team. The role is to support our banking clients in navigating both EU and local regulatory change, with a focus on Prudential Risk Management (ICAAP, ILAAP, SREP) and Corporate Governance (Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Management and Remuneration).
The role will provide you with an opportunity to develop your knowledge across a wide range of topics and to work alongside PwC experts, to support a broad range of clients across the financial banking and non-banking markets.
It offers a unique mix of client work, research activities, regulatory reviews and would provide a valuable cycle of experience for anyone looking to progress in the firm.

We are happy to work as individuals or as part of multi-disciplinary teams to provide hands on, client facing services to our clients in the banking sector, on regulatory change and remediation, governance risk and controls as well as risk management.
These services can be in the form of regulatory / consulting reports or controls reviews. We work with Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit, Operations, Business and Finance functions within local banks, often cross-functionally in supporting them with regulatory change programmes and with enhancing their governance, risk and control frameworks.
As a Consultant in our FSRR team, you will work with the latest risk and regulatory topics within the financial sector for some of the largest banking on the market.
Your work will mainly be helping our clients in assessing and presenting solutions in the context of regulatory developments.
As a Consultant, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex risk and regulatory issues from strategy to execution.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
Work efficiently as part of a team
Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
Keep up to date with local and EU regulatory developments
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new / existing clients
Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
1-3 years’ working experience in the banking sector preferably in an internal control position
Bachelor / master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Law (or equivalent)
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Strong oral and written communication skills in English (e.g. report writing)
Good analytical skills
Ability to apply good judgement during engagements and to support conclusions reached to more senior level personnel both internally and externally
Strong inter-personal skills, with a good track record of working effectively in teams
Ability to work both independently at the same time as teamwork and client focus comes natural to you.
Ability to work under your own initiative
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Very strong attention to detail
Agility an interest in working in a dynamic environment and on different types of projects in the financial banking / non-banking sector
