Worldpay's New Acquiring Platform is pioneering a payment revolution. Our state-of-the-art system equips us for the spending habits of tomorrow, as well as today.
We will be able to deliver unrivalled insights into every trade and transaction. The new platform is designed around payments, not just cards so we can cater to every emerging trend in a fraction of the time it takes now. Responsibilities / Tasks :
Generally support the Scrum team(s) with the Sprint cycle and ceremonies;
Help the team(s) track and remove Sprint impediments and blockers by chasing information / people when needed
Shield the team from outside distractions and interference
Coordinate with Product Owner / BAs to ensure that sufficient work is prioritised and ready for the next Sprint (this is primarily the responsibility of the Product Owner, but the SM can help)
Be the voice for the team at Scrum of Scrums (this can be shared / rotated with other members of the team too)
Organise Sprint retrospective to capture feedback from the team and help facilitate improvements
Facilitate and organise Backlog Refinement and Sprint Planning ceremonials
Ensure that items in the Sprint are estimated and velocity is measured
Facilitate, organise and attends Sprint Demo
Drive backlog refinement and ad-hoc conversation between the team to ensure that backlog items are at a sufficient level of granularity with acceptance criteria
Help coordinate with other teams around any dependencies and the progression of work
Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving
Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
Collaborate with the wider PSC team to drive improvement to ways of working
Experience / Exposure
Sound understanding and experience of the Agile Scrum - software development lifecycle
Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least 2 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
Exposure to external stakeholders, able to build networking and manage interaction
Able to interact with product owners, business analysts, projects managers, development and test managers, architects
Experience with different requirements tracking systems like JIRA
Experience of working with offshore partner organizations
Structured and organized, able to manage workload and handle conflicting priorities
Excellent communication and coaching / mentoring skills, able to articulate technical and non-technical issues
Highly collaborative, supportive and team player that demonstrates a proactive can do’ attitude
Responsive, assertive and drive a continuous improvement ethos in all interactions
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Passion about sharing knowledge and best practices
Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organizations
Willingness to travel
Fluent English (written / verbal)
