Candidates should be highly motivated with a PhD degree in Material Science (preferably carbonaceous materials and molecular modelling) with excellent command of the English language.
Candidates must have competences in the areas of carbonaceous materials, molecular modeling and separation membranes. Familiarity with characterization methods : Raman Spectroscopy, FT-
IR, microscopy techniques, XPS, and organic synthesis is required.
The scientists will be involved in the realization of the project objective i.e. an enhanced understanding and the knowledge-
based design of novel selective separation membranes based on super carbonaceous materials. The candidate will contribute to the development of complex multi-
scale computer-aided design protocol complemented with computer-assisted evaluation (mainly atomistic-, quantitative structure property relationship (QSPR)-
and mesoscale- tools) to generate different super carbonaceous complex structures and super carbonaceous material / polymer composites potentially attractive for selective separation.
