The Oracle Health Sciences User Assistance (UA) team accelerates the adoption of Oracle’s Health Sciences solutions that enable customers to deliver innovative therapies
We seek a curious, top-notch technical writer who is well-versed in XML authoring, structured writing, and comfortable documenting REST APIs.
This role is critical to our success as we continue evolving the way we write and deliver online content. In this technical role, you will serve as an XML and publishing subject matter expert, helping team members as we migrate content to DITA.
You will partner with our Information Architect to provide oversight of our online content, ensuring it’s structured in a way that best serves our customers.
You will also work with several product teams to document REST APIs, and mentor others to learn how to do the same. This technical role is perfect for someone who is goal-
oriented, enjoys helping others, and is passionate about XML and web services.

Candidates for this position are expected to present a personal portfolio of illustrative writing samples, which may consist of partial PDF or HTML files.

Creates, develops, plans, writes and edits operational, instructional, maintenance, test or user manuals for paper, multimedia or web-
based publications. Contributes to the timely design, production and delivery / completion of product documentation and document sets.
As a member of the technical writing division, you will design, create and deliver whole product documentation sets and / or related courseware.
Edit, organize and direct the work activities of other technical writers and staff. Plan the format, arrange the layout of publications and edit work for conformance to publication standards and specifications.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel.
BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
