Job Description

This position will be responsible for the verification of complex Interface IPs like PCIe PCS, Ethernet PCS or DDR4 PHYs integrated with 3rd Party IP Controllers.

In this role, the candidate will improve and develop Verification Environments for various IPs and extend the validation to full subsystems level including the corresponding controllers.

The main goal is to define and maintain an environment where other IPs with corresponding tests can be easily integrated and validated.

It is a highly visible role requiring a wide range of expertise in High Speed Interface IPs, Verification Methodologies, Scripting and Automation.

Qualifications : Essential Functions

Essential Functions

  • Define and develop a Verification Environment structure where new IPs with their associated tests can be easily integrated, validated and checked through periodic regressions
  • Develop a set of metrics to assess the performance (throughput, latency, configurability) of the Interface IPs integrated with their corresponding controllers
  • Define a strategy for coverage measurement and automate the verification to capture the uncovered parts
  • Create a Highly Scalable UVM based Testing Environment to allow smooth integration of new tests and reliable regressions
  • Import 3rd party IP available test cases for the controller, integrate them with the Interface IP tests and create one environment to validate the complete subsystem
  • Develop Verification Plans for new IPs as well as tests required to validate their functionality; review the testing with the design team and integrate it in the IP core regression
  • Work with the Firmware Developers to create a unified environment supporting both FW and design testing as part of the IP regression
  • Research and propose ways to improve and speed up testing of new IP cores based on the latest industry trends; work with other verification teams in the company to leverage new methodologies if applicable
  • Qualifications

  • BSEE required; MSEE preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Design and Verification
  • Advanced knowledge of System Verilog, Verilog, UVM and VMM Based Verification Environments
  • Advanced knowledge of scripting languages like TCL, Python or PERL
  • Experience developing tests for Ethernet, PCIE, DDR4, JESD204B / JESD204C or CPRI Interfaces
  • Knowledge of chip design and verification flow
