Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer
What You’ll Do
The Cisco Umbrella (formerly OpenDNS) Network Operations Center (NOC) is responsible for Level-1 incident response and the day-to-day operations of the global infrastructure that powers the Cisco Security Cloud.
The scale and complexity of our network generates a constant stream of exciting challenges which are solved by using an evolving set of technologies.
As a NOC Engineer, you will work on a dynamic ecosystem of network routing, switching, transit, peering, VPN tunneling, DDOS mitigation, compute, virtualization and container resources.

Whom You’ll Work With
Infrastructure Engineering consists of Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering and Security Engineering - together, we build core Internet infrastructure, security applications and distributed systems at scale.
Our environment processes millions of DNS and Proxy requests per second, across 40 datacenters and global cloud infrastructure providers.
About you
You already have a few years of experience working in a high-transactional, 24x7 production environment and experience configuring Cisco routers and switches.
You also have a good understanding of Layer 2 switching and IP routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and know traffic engineering techniques in BGP.
You know your way around a Linux shell and understand the basic operations of file management, package management, virtual environments and checking system log files.

Familiar with NetFlow and SLA probes.
