Job Description

We are recruiting for our client, an automotive company, greenfield, one of the key suppliers within automotive Global World, with manufacturing and R&D Centers within Europe, Asia and US.

The company

Automotive company, supplier for reputed OEMs in Asia, Europe and US, producing key functional components and electronic components (plastics assembly).

The company is technology and excellence oriented, working for premium brands.

In the first phase in Romania will be produced key functional components (air vent) and will be an assembly facility, followed by the injection molding production in the future.

The role

According to the companys development strategy, complete the planning of the whole supply chain system and the planning of logistics entity activities (information flow, real logistics).

You will be the person to create the Logistics and Purchasing strategy for Romania, eventually you will be responsible of the Supply Chain design and implementation for the Greenfield, aligned of course with the values and approach of the Central office.

A Summary of the Responsibilities

  • Create and implement best practice of the supply chain principles, policies, processes and procedures across the organization to improve operational and financial performance;
  • Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with quality standards and Customer requirements;
  • According to the companys development strategy, complete the planning of the whole supply chain system and the planning of logistics entity activities (information flow, real logistics);
  • According to the annual sales forecast, complete the department annual budget, and monitor the department budget in real time. (logistics cost control);
  • Define, implement, and regularly improve supply chain KPIs and targets ensuring clear time plans to reach targets;
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage the development of contracts, contractual relationships, and contract management to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services by the supply base;
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of a companys inventory and purchasing departments; have full accountability and responsibility for all raw & auxiliary materials on site;
  • Supervise the logistics plan within the organization to meet customer delivery needs, and check the production plan and plan management activities;
  • Plan, implement, coordinate and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries. Monitor and control all import and export activities under appropriate way, and keep good relationship with local Customs Authority;
  • Day-to-day management, coaching and development of all Supply Chain Functions, including all aspects of people management (including Performance Reviews, Disciplinary, Talent Development) to meet agreed objectives and to deliver best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, or relevant field;
  • Min. 3 years as Logistics Manager work experience;
  • Significant experience in negotiating with suppliers and contract management;
  • Significant experience of supply chain management in a high volume automotive manufacturing environment;
  • Strong experience / knowledge of MRP Systems - SAP preferred.
  • Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis / statistical methods;
  • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making;
  • Knowledge of MS Office;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Very good command of English language.
