TheSE P DM organization is responsible for developing procurement strategies fordirect materials that will ensure the optimization of Siemens Energy’scompetitive position.

Asa Commodity Management Professional, you are part of our corporate globalstrategic procurement team (SE P DM). You are responsible for Electricalcomponents with focus on Cables and in addition LV / MV -Switchgears supportingour project business (PE).

HowYou’ll Make an Impact

Manage assigned Commodities globally and cross-organizational

Be strong interface to Project Procurement, Project Management, Sales & Proposal, Cost-Value Engineering and Supplier quality management

Define and implement material productivity programs / measures to achieve the maximum contribution to the targets.

Define and implement Commodity and Pooling strategies based on conducted demand, market and supplier analyses, communicate strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient and resilient supply of materials and foster Global Value Sourcing.

Define and implement negotiation concepts and strategies to maximize savings; negotiate frame contracts, execute E-auctions

Forward systematically all relevant Procurement related project information (e.g., updated contractual conditions, Supplier Management data) to keep all stakeholders up to date

Identify supply chain risks, opportunities, and market forces to avoid potential damage / exploit potential opportunities through tailored risk / opportunity management.

Perform Supplier Management : Supplier selection, incl. documentation and communication of strategic suppliers, regular supplier and strategic evaluations, supplier classifications and supplier development to obtain and develop the best suppliers.

WhatYou Bring

University degree in a technical or business-related field

Several years of experience in procurement related roles (Project procurement, commodity management) or similar expertise in technology knowledge of electrical components

Capability to negotiate and to operate in different cultures

Knowledge for setup of procurement strategies on different material fields

Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills

Knowledge of contract law and export control

Excellent English language skills, German language skills desirable

Travel percentage 10%
