Join the Function Cluster Motion Control or Body Network Control team in IASI and you will have the chance to manage the development of products for premium car manufacturers.
In this role you will lead a team of project leaders, system engineers and electronic engineers, for the implementation of complete multidisciplinary customer projects, in line with the BU strategy, quality standards, process requirements and the defined timeline.
You will interact with customers, 3rd party suppliers and business partners from all around the globe. In the end, you will see the results of your team, integrated into the vehicles driven on the streets.
Ideally, you will :
Lead and coordinate a team of project leaders, system engineers and electronic engineers, in order to reach the targets (e.
g. customer and internal timing, quality and cost targets) of the projects developed in your group;
Regularly check the status of the projects within your group and propose / supervise the definition of corrective actions, if the project is endangered.
Solve escalations at your level and escalates issues which need higher management decision / approval / review (e.g. technical issues, project issues, human relations issues)
Actively support and pursue business acquisition opportunities in conjunction with the Segments (Customer Centers). Lead quote teams and prepare technical customer presentations.
Define the mission of the group, derive and implement the group roadmaps, in line with the Business Unit mission and strategy
Develop a strategic plan for introduction and development of future technologies in coordination with the Function Cluster WW management team
Implement world-wide platform technologies and consequently re-use existing solutions
Perform talent management reviews according internal procedures and timeline, to assess employees’ performance and potential
Implement measures to make sure that employees' competencies and skills inside the group are at the level required by the job
Manage and optimize the R&D budgets and the use of resources (e.g. technical equipment, staffing, services) in the group;
Identify the risks within own group on a regular basis, define and implement actions to minimize them;
Do active business networking with customers and peers inside and outside the company (e.g. University), acting as a key player as part of international projects;
Participate to the local BU budget planning and track the local BU budget for your group (Invest, training, travel);
Solve problems related to high variability types of project / service matters, being responsible to find adapted / innovative solutions, and, if necessary, to propose the adaptation of existing regulations.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience is required, in a relevant field of activity;
Minimum 5 years of Product development and Project management experience;
Minimum 3 years of International exposure (working in international team / projects);
Proven Business Administration Know-How;
People-focused with an equally strong business orientation, able to balance business needs with retention and recruitment;
Resilient to stress and able to treat change as an opportunity and not as a source of pressure;
Good general knowledge, able to integrate within the environment of the BU
Open in communication, motivated to address issues and mediate conflicts promptly.
Would be a plus :
Knowledge about production processes for electronic devices;
Networking skills in organization and outside;
Fundamentals of automotive standards and automotive experience;
Experience with version control tools and change management methods.
