Together with our partner, a product company focused on cyber-security, we are looking for a Senior Angular Developer that will add skills to the already established and experienced team.

The new colleague will have the chance to deep dive into an emergent and new business, cyber-risk quantification.

The hiring company represents the place where security comes to work. It provides the only Platform to unite Cyber Risk Quantification (RQ), Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP), and Security Orchestration and Response (SOAR) capabilities, aligning the entire security lifecycle to the goal of reducing risk.

This role offers the possibility to grow into a Technical Lead role, as the team that is currently being built in Cluj, will become fully autonomous.

In this role you’ll get to. . .

  • build reactive, reusable Angular components (using TypeScript, HTML and LESS) that enable them to build better and faster, with less bugs;
  • prototype new features in collaboration with the designers and UX engineers;
  • build services that connect to RESTful APIs, sending and receiving data, utilizing RxJs to its full potential to create reactive streams that minimize bugs and reduce cognitive load;
  • review code written by other team members or other teams;
  • help put tools, processes, and documentation in place to improve the code quality;
  • work closely with the product, core and QA teams to ensure that we’re building fluid experiences that meet customer needs;
  • write Unit Tests and End-to-End Tests with Karma / Jasmine / Cypress alongside the feature you are building to help prevent future regressions;
  • research, guide and execute front-end architecture changes;
  • keeping up with the latest Angular framework improvements and how they can impact the way they build the product;
  • share what you know and learn either one-on-one or as part of their monthly First Friday Workshops;
  • measure and resolve performance bottlenecks, using tools like Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse, WebPagetest, or custom tooling.

    In the first month, they will expect you to

  • get onboarded and meet the team;
  • get a good understanding of the market they operate;
  • study and understand the product;
  • understand the team delivery process;
  • implement your first tasks in the product.
  • At 3 months they will expect you to

  • have a foundational understanding of the product;
  • be able to troubleshoot bugs in the platform when provided with steps to replicate;
  • be able to assist other engineers in developing new features.
  • At 6 months they will expect you to

  • be fully versant with the product’s implementation and the development cycle;
  • contribute new ideas and ways to optimize the product;
  • perform code review for your colleagues’ code.
  • At 12 months they will expect you to

  • be capable of working in an autonomous fashion;
  • identify improvement opportunities;
  • be able to mentor a newly hired engineer;
  • have a solid understanding of our user personas and anticipate user needs.

  • you will be among the firsts members of a team that is being built in Cluj;
  • you will work in the first months as part of a team based in US, and in about 6 months part of a autonomous team in Cluj;
  • we follow Agile software delivery methodology, more specifically, Kanban.

  • 5 or more years of proven experience as an Angular Developer;
  • experience with HTML and CSS;
  • a practical understanding of the common design patterns;
  • comfortable with version control systems, branching, merging rollback, etc. (Git preferred);
  • excellent troubleshooting and communication skills;
  • knowledge of secure software development practices;
  • unit-testing experience;
  • experience working in an Agile team driven process.
  • Desired Skills :

  • proven team leading experience;
  • experience writing heavily reactive code;
  • experience with the Ivy in Angular 9+.
