JOB DESCRIPTION

Operate casing and tubing tongs, power units, and handle tools used in tubular make-up / break down operations

Supervise and help with rigging up and down of power tongs, power units and tubular handling equipment

Visually inspect equipment before, during, and after jobs to ensure field readiness and safe operation of equipment

Ensure maintenance of TRS Equipment and perform housekeeping tasks as necessary to maintain a clean and safe work area

Report non-conformities and apply corrective actions ; Identify spaces that need improvements

Ensure and assist with the safe rig up and operation of TRS equipment in accordance with Weatherford procedures and client instructions ;

ensure that equipment is fully operational

Responsible with TRS equipment maintenance &good function and Workshop housekeeping

Ensure maintenance , inspection and minor repairs for TRS equipment

Select properly the equipment needed for tubular running operations as per the OCTG sizes, grades and weights ; Common knowledge of sizes and weights of casing

Visual inspection of threaded connections before running in hole

Perform all duties of casing crew

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

QUALIFICATIONS

High School and training course, mentally and physically fit, athletic, adaptable to site conditions, discipline and honesty.

Qualifications and competences to be able to perform the Tubular Running operations

Minimum One (1) year experience

Preferred skill sets include : CRTi, Tong Operator and previous rig experience.

Good knowledge of TRS equipment and how it operates

Common knowledge of sizes and weights of casing and of OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods), Premium connections

Ability to understand the hydraulic systems along with their function and remedial principles

Ability to provide maintenance to the equipment ; inspection of critical parts of handling equipment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Positive attitude

Good problem solving skills

May be asked to operate a company vehicle.
