Your Responsibilities :

Human resources (HR) is all about equipping our business with the right people and the right skills to help our customers and patients do more, feel better and live longer.

This three year rotational programme will aim to accelerate your early career development through diverse experiences that will put you on the path for a future HR leadership role.

You will experience challenging job rotations, which will be complemented by formal learning and coaching.

What will the program be like?

The Future Leaders Programme suits graduates who want a career with real purpose. It is an accelerated development programme that equips graduates with the knowledge, skills and attributes to move quickly into senior positions at GSK.

As with all GSK development we will focus on a 70 : 20 : 10 principle where your rotations will span challenging opportunities aligned to your previous experience and specifically identified development areas.

Throughout your rotations you will be supported by formal learning, mentors and 1 : 1 coaching.

From the start, our challenging rotations will help you deliver the standards of excellence that we would expect from a future leader.

What will I learn?

We will give you a breadth of experience in the core areas of our HR model. We will also give you the opportunity to spend time outside of HR in a different function where you can gain experience closer to our customers.

The aim is to accelerate your early career development through diverse experiences and put you on the path for a future leadership role at GSK within the HR community and beyond.

During each rotation, you will develop a range of competencies and world class leadership skills. On top of this you will develop a broad understanding of HR through breadth and knowledge of our different business areas.

Where can I work?

All roles will commence in your home market. GSK is a global organization and hence future roles are also possible in any GSK location depending on the development areas of the candidate as well as business needs.

Our aim is to provide each FLP candidate vast and varied experience throughout GSK and ensure they are ready for future leader roles.

What is expected of me?

Expectations of you will be aligned to the job description of the role you will undertake. As mentioned above roles will be assigned based on previous experience, your development areas and our business needs.

In addition to this, there is an expectation that you will be involved in managing projects and prioritizing a variety of tasks.

Our aim is to enhance your development of new skills and knowledge wherever you find the opportunity.

What do I need to succeed?

We are looking for clear, effective communicators who can quickly build a rapport with a wide range of people. It is also important that you can adapt to change and keep focused when the pressure is on.

While you have the drive and confidence to trust your own judgement, you are a real team player who actively collaborates with others.

In addition, you will need an analytical mind, a talent for multi-tasking and the ability to influence others.

In order to be successful on the programme, we will expect you to manage projects and prioritise a variety of tasks effectively.

This means you will need to build working relationships with people at all levels of our organisation. In addition, you will analyse information and report your findings, so we can identify and understand trends, insights and facts.

We will also look to you to help research and source this information. Not least, we want you to keep developing new skills and knowledge wherever you find the opportunity.

As part of our selection process we may ask you to complete two online assessments. You will receive an email from us with a link to a personalised my assessment’ homepage where you can access your first assessment.

Please note you will be given 3 days from receipt of this email to complete your first assessment. If you don’t complete the assessment within 3 days, it will expire and your participation in our selection process will come to an end.

We would like to advise you to review your email daily to check whether you have been sent your first assessment.

Basic qualifications :

  • Bachelor / Master Degree in Social Sciences (Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology or similar);
  • Graduation by Summer 2018;
  • No more than 2 year post graduate relevant work experience;
  • Location mobility across country and willingness to travel internationally;
  • Fluent in English (Spoken & Written).
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Demonstrated leadership experience through organisations and activities;
  • Strong analytical skills; as well as a solid business acumen;
  • Experience working and interpreting metrics;
  • Passion for people and their development;
  • Self-motivated / Proactive approach;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence others;
  • Be a real team player who actively collaborates with others.
