GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

To further drive our growth, we are looking for a creative and committed Senior Backend Developer with a distinct sense for Big Data Applications.

You love to pair with other developers, and you take proud in delivering high quality reusable software. In this position, you will support our Data Processing Team in creating data intensive real-time applications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You accompany the full development lifecycle from specification to release and maintenance

With passion and creativity, you develop high performing data processing applications

You think from the customers' perspective and challenge APIs and system architecture

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Your ability to learn fast and adapt quickly in an agile environment complement your technical expertise

Experience working with distributed systems (e.g. Hadoop, hbase, elasticsearch, yarn, presto, etc)

Experience with Real-time Stream Processing (e.g. Kafka, Flink, Spark etc)

Experience with SQL / NoSQL (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Redis)

Good Proficiency in Java and ideally experience in Scala

Participate in software architecture desing and communicate technical requirements

Practical experience in Scrum or Kanban and DevOps mindset

Mentor junior engineers within and outside the team
