If you are a Commodity Managerprofessional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Cluj location, you will be responsible for the project supply chain strategy and tactical activities.
You will study the market trends, identify the best suppliers for the company's needs and negotiate pricing and contracts with those suppliers.
You will also drive project costs and continuing improvement of the internal processes, identifying any risks when sourcing and procuring goods, building and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and distributors.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL :
Managing the company supply chain by sourcing, reviewing, and purchasing goods.
Drive DPO and ITO improvement
Evaluating, selecting, and recommending new vendors to management
Negotiating favorable prices and terms of purchase to maximize best sourcing practices.
Building and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and distributors
Studying market trends and identifying any risks when sourcing and procuring goods.
Implement strategy for material cost reductions
Resolving vendor disputes and any commodity-related issues
Engages on contract development and evaluation of the contract scope, identifying and escalating critical items to management as needed
Regularly Communicate in a Consistent Manner with World Area Hub Project Procurement Management
Monitors service quality, adherence to PMO Project Procurement procedures and ensure the implementation of continuous improvement processes
Align KPI’s Consistency through Global Project Procurement
Works together with WAH Leadership to Optimize Supply Chain Process and Tools
Ensure Regulations and Compliance. Perform Regulations and Compliance Analysis Ensure compliance to Emerson Record Retention Policy and to Emerson’s Ethics Policy at all times
Ensuring that project-approved budgets are adhered to
Responsible for generating orders to suppliers based on the technical specifications received from the project engineer
Responsible for availability of project materials
Responsible for order confirmations and delivery notes, tracking delivery data & processing invoices
Keeps the project team informed of the status of all orders and provides correct and on time answers to all queries regarding the ongoing orders
Correctly communicate & collaborate with all teams and departments involved, local and remote
Actively participates in departmental meetings, provide forecasting and reporting support.
Sets shipment priorities depending on delivery time of the orders / contracts; informs stakeholders about the status of ongoing deliveries
Responsible for Trade Compliance activities related to acquisitions. Knows and respects the local and international commercial regulations of Emerson and respects Emerson's code of ethics
FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED :
Good organizational skills.
Ability to create and sustain effective professional relationships with members of other departments.
Effective time-management & multi-tasking, able to work successfully within fixed deadlines
Experience of computer-based accounting systems and back-office business applications
Fluent in English
Working knowledge of Procurement and Accounting.
Previous experience in the import-export activities
