The Trimble Geospatial EMEA Sales Organization is recruiting for a Technical Sales Engineer (m / f / d) to fill an opportunity remotely in Germany or France.
Job summary : The Technical Sales Engineer primary responsibility is to support the Geospatial sales channel and Geospatial customers in the region, providing technical knowledge and understanding Geospatial workflows from field to finish.
As a member of the EMEA Advanced Solutions team the Technical Sales Engineer will work in close collaboration with the other team members in EMEA, as well as the Channel Sales Managers and Business Development Managers in the region.
Primary duties : Understand and being able to evaluate Geospatial workflows from field to finish Design and deliver tailored training to channel partner sales personnel following the solution selling approach Assistance in key customer sales activities Conduct professional demonstrations in support to tenders or special projects in the region Maintain high level of technical understanding across the entire Geospatial solutions End customer visits and trade-show participation including actionable trip and expense reports Identify and evaluate local market needs to enhance Trimble Geospatial solutions for the region, including proper communication Work closely with Regional Sales Management to support growth goals of the Geospatial business in the region Active reporting to managers and peers Measures of Success : Fast and efficient resolution of challenges for Trimble Geospatial customers Technical Pre-sales activities on diversified issues, where data analysis helps Trimble's channel partners, end users and internal sales teams Support to the Sales / Marketing / Engineering team to execute Geospatial business priorities Skills & Experience Required : Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking) 2nd language preferably German or French or Arabic (reading , writing and speaking) is a plus Bachelor degree of Engineering with Geospatial knowledge (Survey, GIS, Cartography or similar) At least 5 years experience with a Geospatial domain knowledge working in the Survey, Construction or GIS industry.
Broad understanding of different manufacturers solutions within the Geospatial sector Knowledge of Trimble Solutions (Geospatial) is a plus Knowledge about Advanced Solutions such as Mobile Mapping Solutions, Scanning, GIS and CAD software is a plus Ability to travel at least 50-60% of the time, 30-40% office based Ability to work with common office tools and being able to communicate via modern technology (e.
g. web based meetings) Self-motivated; ability to work independently, to identify gaps and take required actions to fill them Strong interpersonal skills Strong presentation skills (for both technical sales and training) Ability to work effectively in a team environment, but also be highly autonomous Ability to manage and resolve conflict Ability to quickly learn and integrate new technologies into sales activities Effective time management skills and high level of responsiveness If you are interested in this position, please don't hesitate to apply.
