Ø Job Description
The electrical and instrumentation engineer is accountable for design and selection of various types of electrical equipment, and fabrication shop activities for modular and packed equipment systems.
The electrical and instrumentation engineer will take an active role in P&ID review meetings,electrical equipment(instrument) specification design and review.
Review and confirm code basis for each project
Collaborate with other project team members to comply with project requirements and meet project schedules
Review and approve fabricator and external design drawings, documentation and fabrication sequence
Generate electrical equipment specifications
Responsible for design and selection of various types of electrical equipment
Skid electrical and instrument installation specification / design
Expediting release of Documentation for electrical eq; Data Sheets, Supplier Data Requirements, Material
Requisition,Tech Bid Evaluation;
Monitor status and ensure delivery of project deliverables within budgeted cost and schedule
Electrical equipment Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
Acting as interface between relevant disciplines (Piping, Process, E&I, Civil Structure)
Develop the scope of work using P&ID's, specifications, and project requirements to specify and complete electrical equipment
Adhere to plant and electrical design standards
YOU MUST HAVE
University Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Significant experience in electrical engineering within the refining / petrochemicals / gas industry
Solid experience in the specification and design of electrical equipment and instrumentation
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
Ability to work effectively with team members of all disciplines
Knowledge of ISA, API, NEC, NFPA terms and guidelines
Hazardous area design experience to ATEX, IEC Ex
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
Ability to travel up to 20% annually.
Fluent in English language
Knowledge and experience in international designs and standards is a plus
