Proficient and dedicated in :
working with at least one of the following programming technologies : Python, GoLang, Java, C#, Scala, Rust, C++
best practices for software engineering (code review, multi-stage testing, CI / CD)
frontend frameworks, e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js, Streamlit, or other
Some demonstratable experience with :
data processing (building pipelines, data versioning)
applied AI / ML theory (e.g. neural networks, reinforcement learning, statistical modelling)
at least one of the following AI / ML technologies (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Open AI Gym)
AI / ML tools (Jupyter Notebook, DVC, Neptune.ai, Weights & Biases)
Linux or Unix
Experience with working in a diverse, remote, asynchronous team
Collaborative communicator, comfortable in written and spoken English
You have natural desire for continuous learning
Your daily work :
R&D on systems used in multiple e-learning platforms and mobile apps across Pearson
Occasional work with others on spikes and proof-of-concepts
Build and Implement from scratch or develop existing front-ends of Pearson’s AI services and R&D tools
Architecture design & development of backend services (microservices)
Focus and ensures quality of delivered implementation (peer code reviews, improving CI / CD pipelines, automated tests)
Effective relationship builder and communicator, shares knowledge and best practice across the team
