The position of the Responsible Sourcing Specialist sits within our Sustainability function who play a vital role in achieving Kingfisher’s long-
term vision to create good homes by making home improvement accessible for everyone’. And we know that a good home is a sustainable home.
The role of the Responsibility Sourcing Specialist for EEBO (+ROBO) is to drive ethical sourcing practices and continuous improvement in Kingfisher’s supply chain
Supporting the Responsible Sourcing function manager to prioritise and conduct ethical supplier audits
Working with the local Buying Offices to on-board suppliers using the Kingfisher process
Liaising with 3rd party audit providers to conduct factory assessment
Developing post audit action plans consistent with risks identified in the audit and the agreed development programme strategy for Kingfisher suppliers
Escalating issues and risks to the Responsible Sourcing Manager
Supporting the identification of key issues and corresponding solutions, trends and themes in the supplier base
Developing a framework to demonstrate continuous improvement in labour standards & environmental practices and to reduce supply chain impact
Helping implement communities’ strategy in supply chain
Being accountable for sustainability reporting data metrics in relation to Supplier Audits for their particular sphere of responsibility
Well versed in social and environmental challenges in global sourcing and global supply chain
Demonstrable interest for and experience in data management and reporting
Demonstrate an interest in monitoring and improving standards in the supply chain, through compliance and auditing and alternative solutions
Data analysis and management using internal & external systems
Reporting, communication and presentation
Engaging and influencing different stakeholders, building strong relationships with sourcing teams and suppliers
MS Office, especially excel
Sedex and SMETA audit training desirable
