The Core Concepts team is part of the broader Core Engineering team and within the Platform Engineering organization. We own various core concepts and services that are not tightly coupled with service platforms, yet still vital to the product teams who depend upon our services to create the products directly used by clinicians.

Some examples of our ownership include the services for producing faxes and print jobs, configuration of application preferences, and management of date / time APIs utilized throughout Millennium.

As a Software Engineer on the team, you will implement new features, regulatory enhancements, and bug fixes. You will be part of a global team, working on daily basis with colleagues from Kansas City (US) and Brasov.

You will provide code that enhances software, offer support of software in the field, and maintain and document software functionality and practices.

You will also prototype, refine, test and debug programs as needed. You will have to participate in code reviews and identify moderate issues or deviations from best practices, collaborate on component level technical designs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field, or 4 years relevant work experience;

Plus 1 years of completed higher education and / or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including : 1 years of software engineering work experience;

Fluent in English;

Familiarity with C++ language;

Familiarity with UNIX operating systems;

Experience working with relational databases (SQL, Oracle).

Preferred Qualifications :

Deep understanding of OOP concepts;

Previous experience with C++, experience with other programming languages like Java, C# is relevant, but the main focus is on C++ related concepts (like : pointers, MFC);

Agile development knowledge or experience;

Previous experience with continuous integration tools and methodologies is a plus (ex : Jenkins);

Experience with incidents tracking tools, and tasks management tools;

Experience working with Linux shell script and other scripting languages like PowerShell, windows batch scripting.

Expectations :

This position can be based from our Brasov office or working remotely from any location in Romania.

Additional Information

All employees must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
