The purpose of this position is to work in collaboration with the European Sourcing team, to drive a common strategy for various commodities (such as castings, machined parts, soft parts & others).
Develop and improve the integration between the multiple sites Europe sites in order to consolidate suppliers, implement common projects, drive savings and reduce lead time.

Develop strategies for various commodities such as : casting, machined parts, forged & soft parts
Negotiate with suppliers’ long-term agreements, focused on cost containment, quality, lead time reduction and payment terms improvement
Project coordination and management until implementation, including various departments like Quality, R&D, Logistics, Materials in order to ensure project success
Develops and manages initiatives as e-sourcing’ and inflation model maintenance inside the Procurement department
Assesses suppliers’ capacity, makes analysis of cost and benefits, ability of complaints and SCAR management
Run Electronic bids for direct / indirect materials to help drive lower costs
Work on supplier consolidation and increase inventory turns by eliminating MOQ (Minimum order Quantity) and MOV (Minimum order Value)
Resolve supply issues and develop supply chain risk mitigation and contingency plans, to improve material availability.
Extensive experience of sourcing, procurement and supply chain management
Ability to comprehend and interpret engineering drawings, quality systems requirements, component requirement and customer specifications
In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement
A proven track record of delivering savings, reducing lead time & increasing the supplier on time percentage
Experience in establishing and managing pricing agreements with strategic suppliers
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Analytical mind-set, but also creativity to seek, encourage and find non-traditional approaches to sourcing
Familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions
Very knowledgeable about current market prices of materials, components and equipment to be purchased, and familiar with alternative options that can help reduce costs
Experienced with modern sourcing and procurement systems
Fluent English spoken and written communication skills (French and / or Italian are a plus)
