We offer a position of Master student for a determined period of 1 year with a part-time working time of 2 hours / day within the research project "Hydrogen production and advanced water treatment using innovative photocatalysts with 3D heterostructures", acronym REVOLUTION3D, at Faculty of Chemistry, "Alexandru loan Cuza" University of Iasi, Romania.
The overall aim of the project is to develop different 3D heterostructures based on oxyhydroxides coupled to a novel double perovskite, determine their optoelectronic properties and charge / energy transfer mechanisms and establish their potential as photocatalysts, particularly for hydrogen production.
The successful candidate will acquire new competences in 3D hybrid nanomaterials synthesis and computational design, in the study of photocatalytic reaction mechanisms, and in several techniques that can be used to assess water treatment and spliting.
