We are looking for a professional software quality engineer to join the global software and system excellence central functions (he a t), contributing to key software projects centrally developed for Continental Automotive future business, focusing on reference integration projects or reusable modules software platform projects.
You will join a highly motivated and skilled software team that is dealing with innovation, pre-development and base projects.
Your tasks will focus on the following activities :
Establish and coordinate discipline quality assurance planning at project, including effort estimations
Check and support the projects defined process (tailored from the standard process) for the compliance towards quality-related processes of the customer and internal process requirements
Check for process compliance within a discipline (sub-)project by offline work product spot checks (WPS), infrastructure checks (ISC) and conducting process deployment assessments (PDA) in the role as PDA-assessor
Identify gaps and non-compliance issues, drive the definition of improvement actions and track implementation to closure
Escalate in case of quality related missed targets, major deviations and risks, which have not been mitigated (e.g. KPI, closure of actions .)
Report quality status according stakeholder requirements
Participates in all relevant discipline project meetings
Participates in reviews of major, discipline related work products of the project (e.g. planning documents),
Coach the project team in process and method application
Define, initiate, and moderate analysis of defects for sustainable removal of development process related root causes
Experience in discipline QA with several years of active experience in a comparable field of engineering and project management
Academic degree in engineering or comparable qualification
Basic knowledge in software development
Knowledge of Automotive SPICE® and IATF16949
Expert / advanced knowledge in quality management : planning, reporting, escalation, issue tracking
Knowledge of Q methods and tools : constructive methods : process standards, architecture, design guideline
Analytical methods : review methods, metrics, statistical methods, testing methods, structured problem-solving methodologies, auditing, assessment etc.
Business fluent English language skills, written and spoken
Knowledge and understanding of product integrity, product liability (this includes functional safety, security, and open source)
Knowledge of international and customer standards
Ability to coach, motivate, moderate, and convince
