You will define and manage teams, testing strategies, plans and deliverables related to testing within specific applications and programmes of work on a global basis.
You will also manage and drive the adoption of recognised best practice and policy and contribute to the ongoing improvement of methodologies and assets.
You will manage and be accountable for the functional and non-functional testing of one or more applications.
Your technical prowess includes :
Managing the creation, sign-off and implementation of the Case Management programme testing strategy
Coordinating with the Delivery manager and portfolio stakeholders to ensure that the test strategy is aligned with the overall programme IT Strategy.
Ensuring that resouces are provisioned for the portfolio projects, in line with the programme TOM and project release calendar
Managing the overall effort to ensure that all in scope components and scenarios are tested and reported on for all the programme portfolio
Providing management, leadership and technical guidance to Testing Specialists and Testing Analysts
Leading teams working on the detailed test strategies and planning for applications based on technical and business specifications in accordance with DB standards
Working with Testing Specialists to review and understand business requirements functional and non-functional specifications
Ensuring adherence to testing best practices and DB testing standards
Actively seeking opportunities to leverage central testing services where deemed appropriate
Participating in stakeholder management within the application and project context, including stakeholders of up and downstream systems and external teams
Ensuring that stakeholders receive information that enables fact based decisions to be made
Managing the working relationship with 3rd party team members
Coordinating with external groups such as test environment support and production management teams
Acting as a senior escalation point for all stakeholders, including internal testing team escalation
Championing and participating in the activities of the broader QA and Testing community
Aligning to the wider team / group objectives

Experience / Exposure :
Proven experience in Testing roles and / or leading testing teams
Technology knowledge and expertise
Experience of test management and defect tracking tools
Proven experience of defining and implementing project level test strategies
Understanding of testing across the full Software Development lifecycle
Customer and service orientation to support interaction with team resources and clients
Performance and productivity oriented to drive toward quality testing outcomes and results
Previous program and project management experience
Poven experience with Risk Management and Control policies and procedures
Proactively, initiate, develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members
Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people and achieve results
Proven experience with change leadership, managing complexity and risk management
Proven experience with Process development & management, Project management & Project governance, Quality management, Vendor / Contract management
