Position Summary : A Localization QA Tester prepares and maintains a set of test machines and OS’s for the target language and performs specified tests in scripted and manual testing scenarios.
Also provides quality linguistics services (translation and QA Testing). RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES :
Possess native or business level language skills in target language, and business level communication skills in English.
Creates customized test plans and test cases, and performs tests following instructions in a test case database.
Works closely with software engineers to troubleshoot, and validates defects around functionality, and addresses performance issues related to localized products.
Interfaces with software production teams in addressing internationalization, UI design and providing pertinent information while writing defect reports.
Demonstrates knowledge of localization, UI, grammar, and appropriate translations, to release and maintain the products in highest quality level.
Interacts with other localization testing engineers to develop and execute best practices.
Perform testing and quality assurance on deliverables.
Translate or review translations of software and technical documentation content at a Native Professional level, applying IT networking and Security Management specific terms and standards.
Deploy and maintain a library of Operation Systems to support all products and supported platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS : Skills and Experience : Technical Skills :
Knowledge of Mobile devices with Mobile Operating Systems
Experience with software testing Localization preferred
Understanding of software development lifecycle
Knowledge of networking infrastructure / architecture / protocols
Experience with defect tracking tools and defect lifecycles
Defect analysis and troubleshooting skills
Experience using Operating System virtual imaging tools
Ability to create test plans and test cases
Knowledge of Computer Hardware Architecture
Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems
Knowledge of databases SQL Server
Linguistic Skills :
Native / Near Native or Professional Business level fluency in Russian language.
Business level fluency in English.
Additional linguistic skill will be bonus but not required.
Interpersonal Skills :
Self-driven, ability to work unsupervised
Ability to handle various multi-tasks

Experience working in a global, multilingual organization
