SUMMARY OF ROLE
Responsible for the design, implementation and delivery of Configurator Models. Provides functional expertise in new product development projects and successfully maintain the tracking, control and proper authorization of design changes throughout the European organization.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews released engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.
Responsible for leading deployment of the Configurator Model across a multiple instance environment.
Analyses changes of product design to determine the effect on the end product design and function.
Prepare training material for future maintenance and support.
Import items from Oracle EBS R12 BOM to Configurator and build model setups, define the rules and User Interface.
Identify, map and load all the required catalog attributes into PIM (Product Information Management) module.
Debugging of Configurator model issues.
Develop the Configurator models with validation rules using CDL (Constraint Definition Language) programming and customized User Interface.
Collaborates with IT team to support execution of application changes, ensuring compliance and quality standards are part of deployment.
Ensure optimum configuration model design to satisfy "Assemble To Order" (ATO) and "Pick to Order" (PTO) business requirements of manufacturing and distribution locations.
Understand the function of all Oracle Item Master attributes and ensure that they are correctly assigned to achieve expected behaviour.
Create test plans, cases, and scripts to ensure that item, bill of material, and configuration rule changes can be verified thoroughly and efficiently.
Ensure the accuracy of all standard item bills of materials. Plan updates appropriately to ensure that mass changes are made efficiently and correctly.
Performing data analysis, data cleansing, data modeling, and data integration using Oracle SQL Developer and Microsoft Excel WebADI.
Anticipate downstream consequences of change which impact other business areas and systems.
Technical university degree preferred
Fluent spoken and written English
Computer skills in Microsoft Office
Experience with PLM and ERP systems (preferred Oracle E-Business Suite R12 modules - Item Master,Bills of Material, PIM)
Knowledge and proficiency in SQL or CDL (Oracle Constraint Definition Language) programming
