By joining us as a Logistic Specialist, you would be maintaining the relations with the customs authorities, coordinating the daily import-export activities required for air, road and maritime transportation of assets, in compliance with company policies, as well as any other in force rules and regulations.

You would also be collaborating with the Materials Departments and the Customer Relations Responsible of the four group business units.

  • Coordinates daily import-export activities, acting as the main liaison with customs and customs brokers
  • Maintains and continually develops relationships with authorities and customs brokers
  • Plays the role of the internal reviewer for any matters pertaining to import-export and intra Community deliveries
  • Coordinates logistics activities required for air, road and maritime shipments
  • Monitors, coordinates, checks and optimizes all transport orders within his / her responsibility
  • Sets shipment priorities depending on delivery time of the orders / contracts; informs stakeholders about the status of ongoing deliveries
  • Collaborates closely with procurement specialists and customer relations managers
  • Effectively resolves any issues that may arise in relation to customs documents
  • Is always up to date on all types of documents involved in import-export operations, international rules on the transport of goods, delivery terms and Romanian / international customs laws
  • Responsible for the shipments estimated / negotiated delivery time being met
  • Is the reference person to escalate employees’ uncertainties with respect to the import export and intra-Community deliveries
  • Provides support for classification of products in terms of customs codes (HS) and export control codes (ECN)
  • Provides support in establishing preferential and non-preferential origin of products
  • Oversees the implementation of all Emerson regulations, local policies and resolutions of US and EU on all import-export processes
  • Ensures that all staff involved in international trade processes are continuously informed and properly trained regarding international trade compliance
  • Is responsible for document retention as per the Emerson Retention Policy
  • Is responsible for the quality and timely submission of import-export reports required by company management
  • Actively participates in departmental meetings
  • Is constantly behaving in such a way as to promote the image and the interests of the Company
  • Actively engages in solving crisis situations that would affect the company and is constantly concerned of work improvement
  • Performs any task given by the direct supervisor or by management in connection with his / her job responsibilities and / or the legislation in force

  • Middle or Higher education
  • Previous experience in the import-export activities(at least 6 months)
  • Previous experience in organizing transportation
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word / Excel / Power Point) and general use of the computer
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Analytical thinking and good organizational skills
