As Technical member of the CommVault backup solution you will be responsible for the completion of critical backup improvement project which includes :
Migration of backup to cloud storage provider
Integration of customer environment into existing service management methodologies
Governance and reporting on health of enterprise backup solution
Automation of repeatable tasks through Powershell and Workflow
Managing and configuring server backup policies, schedules and plans
Responsible for operational excellence and maintaining the uptime and availability of services
Troubleshoot incidents across all aspects of the IT server infrastructure, including leveraging technical tools to analyze issues
Support and train peers and junior engineers in your area of expertise
Within this role you will be responsible for :
The deployment of new customer environments
The enablement and transition of new operational processes associated to changes deployed across the platform
You will engage with customers to conduct requirements analysis, create Customer specific designs and remotely assist with customer deployment as required
You will have experience working as part of an offshore workforce and providing solutions to customers in this remote model
Deliver a genuinely customer-focussed service
Support and execute tasks within a project plan
Work in a 24x7 environment across rotating shifts.
Work to ITIL best practices
Document clear and concise Knowledgebase articles effectively
Provide Root Cause Analysis reports to customers
Strive to deliver ever more efficient processes and standards across the operations environment
What we need to see from you
7+ years experience as a Commvault engineer.
Fluent English skills
German language skills are an added advantage
Basic knowledge of operating systems Linux, Windows
Basic knowledge of database engines, such as MS SQL, Oracle, DB2
Excellent knowledge of Commvault and preferably be certified at Commvault Professional, Engineer or Specialist level
Experience with the integration possibilities of Commvault with other operational tools.
Passion for technology and a desire to attain and maintain technical certification
Experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services desirable
Detailed experience in the backup industry and understand current trends and customer challenges
