The Summit Capability Squad supports the Summit application in Financial Markets in a number of ways : help our Front and Middle Office Summit users in their daily activities, provide support for the interactions between Summit and other Financial Markets systems (such as MarkitWire, Murex, Bloomberg, Kondor+, etc), deliver changes and new functionalities, helping at the same time to maintain a robust and reliable application.
Your day to day
Driving a BIZ-DEV-OPS squad as the Technical Product Owner representative;
Act as both business and technology evangelist in the product development;
Take part to different type of meetings, workshops or any other kind of interactions in order to be accountable on both business and technical point of view within the team;
Providing the purpose, context and direction to the team from both business and technical point of view, always taking into consideration the product goal and mission;
Throughout the product development phase, create requirements (with business, functional and sometimes technical details) in the forms of Themes, Epics, Features and Stories and facilitates backlog refinement sessions;
Make sure DOR (Definition of Ready), previously agreed with the team, is met for each backlog item;
Write clear Acceptance Criteria for both business and technical items, including Test scenarios if possible, following the BDD (Behavior Driven Development) principals;
Drive the planning sessions with focus on the deadlines and goals of the product and product release plan;
Make sure the DOD for each backlog item is accomplished;
Take part of the testing part, in some cases running technical tests, other times just validating from a functional / business perspective;
Partnering with the stakeholders, Area Product Owner and peers (representatives of other squads) to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value;
Providing an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Re-lease / Sprint Goals;
Reporting to IT and working together with business, solution architects, customer journey experts, domain architects etc.
What you bring to the team
Ideal candidate A person who has successfully managed a Summit Upgrade project to Version 6.x would be a bonus
Summit functional / technical knowledge
Project / Program Management experience
Agile mindset / methodology preferred
Recent / past Summit upgrade experience or at minimum experience with Summit Upgrade projects (participation or leading)
Stakeholder management : Strong effective communication skills
Clear communicator with ability to articulate complex requirements in an easy to understand manner
Ability to run workshops and engage stakeholders across regions
Test management experience - nice to have
Strong leadership skills
Hands on with delivery - nice to have
