Amazon operates in a global e-Commerce environment a diverse set of businesses.

The Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) Program as part of Retail Business Services is a set of services paid by Amazon Vendors that aim at building a long-term partnership with Amazon, by making it the retailer of choice.

AVS pursues three main goals :

1. Accelerate the growth of the vendors on Amazon

2. Drive higher satisfaction of the vendors with Amazon and as a result foster greater engagement and investment

3. Build a long-term partnership between Amazon and the vendors through a sustainable and efficient e-commerce business

The Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) Catalog Manager opening is designed to provide best-in-class, scalable solutions to help brand specialists and vendors add selection and improve the quality of their content and metadata on the Amazon websites.

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Manager to contribute to the smooth running of the EU program. The successful candidate will be a strong contributor to the overall vision of the AVS program while meeting the needs of the business and protecting the integrity of the customer experience.

You will be responsible for an Amazon Vendor Services Operations team supporting multiple categories that populates / procures content for the Amazon Catalog, works with premium vendors to ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of products, and interacts directly with Amazon internal customers across EU to deliver to their requirements and work directly with the Category team to ensure the overall health of the processes is good.

In this role you will :

  • Take part in planning, organizing and directing the work of subordinates or others;
  • Outline procedures and instructions on work received, make time estimates on new jobs received;
  • Check accuracy / quality of content / population made by your team;
  • Ensure records are maintained accurately;
  • Be responsible for meeting operational and business goals through leading a team and capacity planning through forecasting;
  • Drive resolutions to ensure reliable and operationally effective flow of products; improve processes and reduce discrepancies;
  • Work with various internal teams (e.g. supply chain, fulfillment center, technology teams) to help drive tools and process improvements that affect vendor / catalog management workflows;
  • Drive appropriate data oriented analysis, adoption of technology solutions and process improvement projects to achieve operational and business goals;
  • Manage stakeholder communication across multiple lines of business on operational milestones, process changes and escalations;
  • Ensure high quality standards for interviewing and hiring employees at all levels of the organization;
  • Execute specific people programs on coaching and development
  • Key Performance Areas :

  • People Management (team management, floor control, retention, enable career development, create individual development plans);
  • Operational excellence (Metrics Management through regular reviews and delivering specific metric goals against targets and create path to green plans for misses / ensure high service delivery and execution / identify training and mentoring needs / enable knowledge sharing);
  • Stakeholder management (interact recurrently and ad-hoc with stakeholders, report and update, coordinate in order to anticipate their needs, gather feedback and act on improving internal processes);
  • Project management (proactively identify improvement opportunities in the processes owned and build projects to support the need end-to-end).
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; business or technical background is considered an advantage;
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in managing people and interacting with customers / stakeholders;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English (any second European language is an advantage);
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and influence work behaviors;
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical capability.
  • Operate in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment with full control and responsibility of achieving business objectives.
  • Attention to detail and capability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in Business Process Outsourcing
  • Supply Chain management, Centralized Purchasing or Consumer Retail experience is being considered a plus
