Description The Global Data Services (GDS) Data Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for achieving the business required service levels relating to the data maintenance activities in the Global Data Services organization.

The GDS Data Maintenance Team Lead will support the GDS Data Maintenance Manager in the co-ordination and priority planning of resources, to globally provide GDS maintenance activities in support of the business.

This would include, but not be limited to, the day to day set up and maintenance of new customers, suppliers, employees and banking data, JDI Item master data, data maintenance projects and Intercompany data management.

The GDS Maintenance Team Lead will also be responsible for the maintenance of documentation, process flows and training material relating to the GDS team and Emerson global standards.

The GDS Data Maintenance Team Lead will develop Data Maintenance Administrators within this functional team.Work alongside the GDS cross functional Supervisors and Team Leads, to ensure all Global Data Services maintenance service levels and standards are met.

In this role, the GDS Data Maintenance Team Lead will take the lead on those global Maintenance projects that require Global Data Services support and provide support to Data Maintenance Specialists on their own projects. Responsibilities

  • Supports the GDS Data Maintenance Supervisor to ensure correct resource cover for all GDS maintenance service levels.
  • Maintains and improves documentation relating to maintenance procedures, process flows, training materials and service level analysis.
  • Report production and tracking of global data maintenance service levels, volume analysis and maintenance related projects.
  • Co-ordinates GDS Data Maintenance resources allocated to global maintenance work to achieve business agreed SLA’s, ensuring good and efficient teamwork and compliance with specific processes.
  • Co-ordinates request rejection re-training.
  • Works on cross functional cleanup projects with the GDS Data Analytics Team.
  • Completes all global data maintenance activities - Customers, Suppliers, Banks, Employees, Intercompany and JDI Item master set up.
  • Works with the team to ensure that data integrity is of the highest quality.
  • Completes qualitative and quantitative reviews of the GDS Data Maintenance Administrators and provides productivity data to the Data Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Provides functional training and coaching. Helps to implement development plans for Data Maintenance team members.
  • Provides feedback to the GDS Data Maintenance Supervisor during objective setting and has input into performance evaluation of direct reports within GDS Data Maintenance function.
  • Completes regular performance reviews of direct reports within GDS Data Maintenance function.
  • Is the functional contact for GDS Data Maintenance Administrators for all maintenance activity related items and issues.
  • Is the key contact for the business on specifically assigned maintenance projects and issues.
  • Prepares leave of absence forms and ensures time out is signed off by GDS Data Maintenance Supervisor jointly.
  • Maintains documentation in relation to GDS Maintenance project work
  • Maintains tracking logs on maintenance related project issues.
  • Has full knowledge on systems relating to maintenance activities.
  • Leads and supports on maintenance related projects (Clean ups, de-duplication, account merge, relationship management).
  • Support and implement automation projects.
  • Leads and implements improvement processes relating to GDS Data Maintenance function.
  • Supports the GDS Data Projects Supervisor with resource requirements from the Data Maintenance team in support of GDS project requirements.

  • Functional resource training and development experience
  • Experience in data maintenance within financial systems
  • Finance, Business or Computing related degree
  • Proven track record of working to deadlines / SLA’s
  • JDE / Oracle Address Book
  • Excellent Advanced Excel skills
