Job Description :
As a Business Analyst in the Research Platforms team, you will be involved in a broad range of tasks : the upstream management of a specific product, including product backlog creation and grooming, user stories and epics specification and acceptance testing criteria, and coordination with the downstream teams, as well as collaborating and supporting the team in all phases of product roll-out.
The main responsibilities of this position will be as follows :
Role & Responsibility :
Translate the business requirements into documented technical requirements, workflow diagrams, and scoping documents with functional specifications.
Identify inconsistencies in business workflows and possible scenarios.
Facilitate communication of either changes in requirements or changes in development between the development team and business owners.
Specify product backlog items (user story and epics), including acceptance criteria
Manage issues reported through the Help Desk to resolution, manage issue communication with stakeholders.
Conduct effective project management to ensure key project deadlines are met.
Engage and communicate with internal stakeholders to translate their business needs into technical solutions
At least 2 years’ experience working as a business analyst or product owner
Ability to work towards fast moving, strict deadlines, that are set with high-quality standards in a dynamic working environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Good knowledge of BPMN and / or UML
Flexible mindset with strong ability to adapt for constantly shifting business requirements and needs
Proficient business English oral and writing skills (the company’s working language is English)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of understanding and speaking both technologically and from a business perspective
Nice to have :
Understandings of the basics of knowledge management and knowledge engineering; or
Knowledge and understanding of the services industry (preferably the financial service industry in combination with the SRI / RI market);
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment
Master or bachelor’s degree in related discipline (business, finance, information science, ICT)
Passion about global sustainability issues like environment protection or human rights
