RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for cloud service health - monitoring and alerting
  • Perform alert verification and validation of false positives in alignment with SOPs
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of cloud infrastructure, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, live data feeds and batch processing
  • Manage internal and external access request, including approvals and general user administration in alignment with user access control policy
  • Facilitate scheduled and ad-hoc request including, but not limited to, application restarts and instance resizing
  • Send internal and external communication for scheduled maintenance and high priority major incidents
  • Triage all support request and perform preliminary investigation for all reported issues
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Escalate to second-tier support per incident management process, ensuring adherence to SLAs
  • Perform tasks by executing runbooks and communicating to stakeholders as necessary
  • Write Knowledgebase articles and runbooks for commonly asked questions or frequently reported issues
  • Follow ITIL processes (Incident, Change and Problem Management)
  • Set up bridge calls with the appropriate teams for major incidents
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills and technology by actively taking part in ongoing training
  • Perform tasks with competing priorities and be able to adapt to changing business needs
  • Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that may span multiple Azure / AWS services and on-premises datacenter environment and applications
  • Drive to change and constantly improve the service that is delivered to the customer with minimum disruption
  • Manage high volume networks and large traffic websites
  • Troubleshooting and resolving customer issues with Windows, Mac, and Linux, VPN, permissions and ownership of a wide variety of account administration tasks
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers' individual needs while adhering to security and best practice standards
  • Onboard customers to Managed Services by configuring monitoring and schedule server and database backups using CRON jobs
  • Submit well-documented bugs and feature requests
  • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Required :

  • AWS Associate (SysOps and / or Developer and / or Architect) Certification or Azure equivalent
  • Basic comprehension of the overall IT infrastructure and application stack
  • Ability to work in a multilingual / cultural environment
  • Ability to work natively in a mixed Windows / Linux environment
  • Analytical skills to assist in the resolution of complex issues that may be time sensitive
  • Excellent ability to troubleshoot on a variety of operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux)
  • Ability to provide high-level support for technical clients
  • Hands-on experience with typical project and system / customer support : planning, coordinating, customer education and support, troubleshooting, problem resolution, product evaluation, and documentation
  • Experience granting SSH and RDP access
  • Network configuration knowledge (Firewalls, VPN, Routers / Switches, and Load Balancers)
  • Experienced problem solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary - sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
  • Excellent oral / written communication and organization skills
  • Passion for technology and continuous education
  • Must be willing to work flexible shifts and scheduling including weekends and holidays
  • Preferred :

  • Additional Azure / AWS Certifications a plus
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Powershell, Ruby, Python, etc)
  • Experience building and administering LAMP, RoR, Java, and / or ASP.NET web application environments
  • Basic understanding of various network topologies and protocols
  • Experience / familiarity with Git
  • Experience monitoring ELK stack, or other similar stack
  • System Administration experience
  • Understanding of web concepts such as DNS, CDNs, SSL and Load Balancing
  • Experience deploying Infrastructure as Code using configuration orchestration tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with configuration management tools, such as Chef or Ansible
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • DevOps experience (CI, CD)
