This has accelerated Autodesk’s move to the cloud, and our adoption of AWS as the platform of choice. Our engineers have full access to AWS resources and lots of opportunities to develop skills and techniques needed to design, build, test, deploy, monitor and support software for the cloud.

In this role, you will work with latest technologies in a flexible and fast paced environment. You will be part of an agile team of smart and highly motivated DevOps engineers, building and maintaining world-

class cloud software delivery pipeline that rapidly yet reliably delivers functionality to Production for our customers’ consumption.

You will work in a global team and collaborate with local and remote colleagues across various disciplines like business, engineering, SOC, Cloud Infrastructure etc Responsibilities

  • Automate the installation and upkeep of build and deploy tools and dependencies
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, and standards to use for infrastructure / engineering efforts
  • Document and present your ideas and solutions accurately and thoroughly
  • Collaborate with product development teams to provide guidance on architecting and developing cloud solutions that are optimized for security, scalability, availability and performance
  • Drive continuous improvements in deployment, management, and monitoring of the application’s web services
  • Maintain change control and testing processes for all infrastructure modifications and deployments
  • Contribute to improvements in processes that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the DevOps and product development teams in responding to customer and business needs
  • Adopt and evangelize best uses for NewRelic, CloudWatch, Grafana and other monitoring and alerting systems
  • Solve live performance and stability issues and prevent their recurrence
  • Coordinate change deployment and release testing effort with the product development team, and perform major upgrades with zero downtime
  • Help define and build true CI / CD culture, tooling and process
  • Cross-train and mentor teammates
  • Work closely with product development teams to support production services in an on-call rotation, and be an escalation contact for service incidents
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or higher degree in computer science or related discipline
  • 5+ years solid hands-on experience building and managing large-scale cloud-based Infrastructure as a DevOps engineer, and managing complex cloud applications running at scale
  • Solid knowledge of the CI / CD concepts and underlying principles, and understanding of the accompanying culture
  • Experience in one or more of the following languages : PowerShell, Python and Linux shell script
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, HashiCorp Vault and Chef
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, empathetic and great communication skills
  • Ability to manage long term, project / milestone based work with multiple teams
  • Ability to jump into situations with few guardrails and make things better
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting RESTful web services
  • Hands-on experience with modern container orchestration systems (Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos) highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of security principles, and experience with industry standard audit compliance (like SOC2) a plus
  • Understanding of network infrastructure and components : DNS, Load balancers, SSL, TCP / IP, NAT, Gateway etc
  • Experience working in an agile team setup following a Kanban approach
