What are we looking for?

We are looking for experienced IT professionals in the SAP Basis administration area for our locations in Romania (remote work).

The person must have strong technical SAP competencies to apply in international projects and skills in the area of technical coordination and coaching of junior SAP administrators, taking over the mentor responsibility.

Desired profile :

Education : University degree or equivalent in the field of IT / Computer Engineering

Professional experience / knowledge :

  • Proficient in SAP administration (ABAP & Java), database administration (Oracle, MaxDB, DB2, MSSQL), operating infrastructure, information capture techniques, infrastructure architecture, customer services techniques
  • Familiar with Know how in Windows, UNIX with the specialties of Linux, Solaris and AIX, principle of UNIX cluster systems and details of MS Windows cluster systems, configuration management, structured reviews, progress reporting, techniques for effective meetings, project planning, networking and communication, service level agreements and operational level agreements;
  • aware of HW configurations

  • Providing direction for others, follow up and monitoring, Process oriented, Customer focus, Conceptual thinking, Attention to detail, Analytical thinking, Improvisation, Initiative, Oral expression (communicating effectively)
  • Working experience with Sybase, SAP HANA would be a plus
  • SAP certifications are highly desirable
  • SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration
  • SAP Certified Technology Associate - OS / DB Migration etc.
  • Social Skills and competencies : team player and good time and organizing skills; open minded and flexible; attention to details
  • Foreign Languages : Excellent command in spoken and written English; German would be a plus.
  • Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Accountability : responsible for delivery of outcome of assigned projects or areas of responsibility internally recognized senior on complex technical and business matters
  • Works on large, complex activities, using demonstrated creativity and expertise and applying specialist professional knowledge to deliver high quality results / technical solutions collaborates in devising long-term concepts may include team lead or supervisory responsibilities
  • Complexity : contributes independently, resolves complex issues in own specialist area, works independently on topics while setting priorities having sole responsibility.
  • Provides regular project status and updates decisions / solutions can enhance essentially current and future design and strategy enhance complex systems & processes

  • Communication : builds and maintains partnerships with internal and external customers and partners, contributes actively to build common ground for cooperation communicates clear and conveying processes & policies in a way that others can understand.
  • Communicates relevant messages in a timely manner and with constructive feedback to cross functional colleagues & managers.
