Customer Project Manager

Role Location : Romania - Sibiu

Role Purpose :

  • To manage customer facing projects in the telecommunication area, with specific emphasis on solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within a predefined revenue / cost plan and to the customer’s specification, using project management methodology and company standard processes.
  • To work as part of a multi-disciplined team on bids and to assist in the sales process as required and will be required to provide project management support to European or global project managers.
  • You will be required to manage multiple projects, therefore a high degree of own time management is needed
  • To manage internal and external business partners
  • Reports to a regional head of customer projects and program management
  • Key Accountabilities :

    Project Management

  • Leads project team to successfully implement the project deliverables.
  • Acts as single point of contact for the project to customer and internally.
  • Reports progress toward project goals against schedules and budgets after their launch accurately and timely.
  • Earns customer trust. Represents Colt Technology Services to customer with professionalism at all times.
  • Reports own time and expenses accurately and timely
  • Manages expectations and provides scope-of-effort estimates.
  • Supervises the work of third party service providers as necessary.
  • Drives and documents timely completion and management of project deliverables.
  • Escalates exceptions quickly to line Manager and stakeholders.
  • Communicates and documents appropriate customer expectations. Consistently delivers to exceed those expectations.
  • Averts and resolves customer issues. By these means, creates customer satisfaction.
  • Provides leadership to delivery team through knowledge sharing, consulting tool and training material creation and on-site shadowing.
  • Contributes to library of best practices.
  • Assists sales and pre-sales to win new clients / projects.
  • Assists legal to contract for projects.
  • Manages the activities of the Project Management Team.
  • Schedules and manages project team.
  • Verifies and validates outgoing project related proposals, approach, scope and plans.
  • Identifies the team training required for technical and professional training.
  • Monitors, measures and reports on the performance of the Project.
  • Identifies out-of-scope opportunities at clients for later sales activities.
  • Ensures that correct and adequate information passes to delivery personnel.
  • Management of risks and issues for assigned projects
  • Manage, track and report on project finances, ensuring alignment to the project finance best practices
  • Stakeholder Management

  • Establishing a single point of contact for the customer for the duration of the project and agreeing escalation paths for all stakeholders.
  • Managing all customer communication during the project life cycle ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Managing internal and external suppliers to deliver the project on time and within cost tolerances.
  • Quality and Process

  • Ensuring that all project documentation is maintained to a high standard and that all project deliverables meet the customer’s expectations of performance and quality.
  • Ensuring that their workflow systems, financial systems and project reporting tools are maintained to reflect the state of project progress.
  • Ensuring that an appropriate test plan is incorporated for all projects ensuring the customer’s requirements are fully met.
  • Experience :

  • Proven experience in responsibly handling external and internal customers
  • Demonstrable business and financial understanding
  • Excellent operational, programme and presentation skills
  • Very good communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent Inter-personnel skills
  • Personal drive, highly self-motivated and self-organized
  • Excellent Team Player and ability to work in an international team
  • Flexibility and creativity
  • Fluent German and fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Skills / Qualifications :

  • Certificate of Prince2 Practioner or higher or
  • ITIL V3 Practioner or higher
