We are looking for a System Engineer to help us with various projects for state-of-the-art automotive components in the area of electrification for platform projects.
As System Engineer, you'll be involved in :
Analysis and clarification of customer requirements (specifications) with the customer and the internal departments Hardware, Software, Mechanics and Test;
Assessment of customer requirement taking into account the concerns functionality, quality and life, cost and functional safety (ISO ) of the component’s inverter, DC / DC converter, electric drives;
Derivation and transfer of customer requirements into technical system requirements (specifications) according to the methods of requirements engineering;
Carrying out reviews of the system requirements with the specialist disciplines;
Collaboration in the creation of a system architecture and FMEA, as well as clarification of internal and external system interfaces;
Creation and description of the system architecture on a logical and physical level;
Creation and description of system concepts;
Create functional specifications such as system specifications, block diagrams and system-level interface descriptions;
Creation of different models to simulate the behavior of the components in the powertrain or vehicle;
Support in the evaluation of the test results together with the disciplines for test, hardware, software, mechanics and functional safety;
Leading the technical design in cross-disciplinary issues such as. the optimal implementation of a function in hardware and / or software;
Error analysis and system integration on the test bench and on the vehicle;
Calibration competency and calibration management.
Knowledge and Capabilities :

Understands the use, boundary conditions and fields of application of systems;
Understands system SW and EE interfaces;
Understands architecture principles and the different SW or EE architectures;
Understands standard SW and standard EE;
Understands development methods and tools;
Ability to recognise weaknesses and risks;
Ability to analyse problems (with due allowance for the SW / EE ) and formulate corresponding solutions;
Ability to abstract and simplify;
Knowledge of system integration;
Ability to communicate with EE developers, logistics experts and users.
Requirements :
Knowledge and experience : System Architecture , Requirement Engineering, Support Tools, Product Development, Customer Orientation and Results Orientation;
Min. 3 years working experience in automotive industry;
Knowledge of electric drive systems, vehicle batteries, safety or security concepts, CAN, vehicle diagnoses, AUTOSAR;
Knowledge of power electronics (inverter, DCDC, motor) and control engineering;
Knowledge in requirements engineering and functional safety according to ISO ;
Independent and goal-oriented working method, ability to prioritize and structuring;
Experienced in architecture modelling and architecture tools;
Good knowledge of engineering processes, the PLC and MLC;
Analytical mind and strong communication skills;
Good English skills in written and spoken;
Intercultural competence.
