The below job description is specifically for the Linxon Business of the SNC-Lavalin Group. In December 2017, ABB and SNC-Lavalin signed an agreement to form a joint venture for the execution of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects for electrical substations.

SNC-Lavalin will have the majority and controlling interest in the joint venture. By combining ABB’s world-leading technology and its market leadership position in power transmission and distribution with SNC-Lavalin’s strengths and in delivering infrastructure projects, the joint venture will help meet the evolving need of power grids across the globe for safe, reliable and state-of-the-art electrical substations.

This role will be part of this new and exciting joint venture.

Financial and Reporting Analyst Job Description

Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

  • In this role, you will be responsible for the day to day and month-end closing accounting activities, supporting Linxon Legal Entities, throughout Europe, Middle-East and Asia-Pacific
  • You will be accountable to prepare and records asset, fixed assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • You will support Linxon with Intercompany invoicing, support Linxon Controllers with statutory financial statements issuing and analysis, payroll accounting, payroll processing, sub-ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, overhead allocation, long term contracts admin, inventory, foreign exchange validation and revalidation
  • You will coordinate with Linxon and will assist them in generating, reviewing and distributing the weekly / monthly / annual reporting package
  • You will be responsible for the Linxon hedge accounting booking and reconciliations for all Linxon entities
  • You will be responsible for the Linxon account analysis and monthly General Ledger reconciliations, monthly reporting financial statements, in accordance with the month-end closing schedule
  • Actively participate and contribute in all required audits, cost reporting, tax filings and tax returns files, as per the deadlines established with the business, and with the support of the local controllers
  • You will assist Linxon in quarterly forecasts and annual budgets preparations
  • You will evaluate current controls, and recommend possible changes & areas of improvement;
  • You will be responsible for the intercompany reconciliations for the Linxon Entities
  • You will regularly communicate with the Linxon representatives, by sustaining daily / weekly and monthly calls
  • You will be responsible for the Hyperion Reporting (Corporate Reporting), promotion, trial balance upload, adjustments, entries, legal packs, year-end pack;
  • for some Legal Entities and will assist Linxon Controller in all the above activities for the other legal activities

  • You will assist the Linxon employees and representatives with ad-hoc requests and other related duties, as per the project assignment
  • Qualifications and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Economics
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Statutory Accounting (monthly reporting) or Financial planning and analysis (budgeting, forecasting)
  • Solid understanding of accounting practices and principles
  • Accuracy, detail-oriented, with good organizational skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Strong technical & analytical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Self-motivated, high initiative and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility
  • Strong business partnering skills
  • Innovation, creativity and project ownership
  • Team player and customer-focused
  • English proficient
  • Oracle (ERP) knowledge would be a plus
