A leading provider on its market segment, Smart Energy manufactures residential, commercial and industrial gas and electric meters, including smart meters, software and data analytics solutions.

This $1.1B Bus unit originated from the recent Elster acquisition (Dec’15) and now includes 5 Lines of Business spanning across the 3 Poles.

Our SBG is a critical growth engine for HPS, surfing on the wave of Smart Meters roll-outs, increasing energy efficiency demand, and expanding Smart City projects.

We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to be part of the EMEA Commercial Finance team and provide support to our Smart Energy business in Germany and potentially other Countries.

  • This position will play a key role providing sales and margin analysis, SG&A monitoring and supporting all planning cyclesLead, coordinate and drive SME financial performances for the Country to ensure financial goals (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash commitments) are met while complying with corporate policies and proceduresProvide support in timely completion of reporting including : Sales, Margin, Customer orders and backlog analysis, monthly closing variance analysis;
  • working closely with the project operation and ISC organization; this includes P&L, Working Capital,Free Cash Flow analysis and Past DuesMonitoring of performance for key metrics on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis;
  • Perform financial closing activities (Journal entries, P&L analysis and correction, orders stats, B / S verification) in sync with latest Controllership and COTA organization;
  • Enhance information provided to leadership for business decisionsAdvise business leadership of opportunities and risks impacting business performanceSupport Controller's department on internal and external audit requestsEnsure compliance with Corporate Policies and ProceduresComplete special and ad-

  • hoc projects as requested to support business needsActively support new Bid proposals, drive pricing, FX, NPI analysis on a regular basisSupport the planning cycles (SRO, AOP, Forecast) and the SIOP processProvide support to drive and track business productivity initiatives across multiple functions;
  • Provide support in cash collection and past due reduction by better driving people behaviors, billing correctness, contract payment terms and milestonesThe role will partner and support the Regional Business Leader in driving financial performances, managing and leading key business processes including the annual operating plan (AOP), weekly (SRO) and monthly financial forecastsInvestigate continuously how to generate better productivity, simplify processes and maximize value to the CompanyPlay the role of a functional expert in Financial Reporting Systems like SAP, Hyperion Financial Management and other business reporting tools.
