ROLE PURPOSE

The position owner is responsible for and directly managing the relationship with the assigned key account customers, gains deeper understanding of their business needs and develops customized offers that build a successful and sustainable business partnerships.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintains and executes long term (strategic) customer development plans;
  • Delivers sales targets and other KPIs with KAs;
  • Executes sales contracts with main channel KAs, leads the negotiation in line with Syngenta boundaries;
  • Accountable for forecasting / planning and accounts receivable;
  • Accountable for cross-function creation and execution of specific offers;
  • Coordinates with ASM and Customer Marketing to deploy resources;
  • Creates and executes KA plans and campaigns, aligned with country campaign plans;
  • Monitors seed and crop protection market environment and trends;
  • Manages overall account relationship and leads, coordinates all main activities (contracts, stewardship, services) of its key accounts across the country;
  • Implements segmentation strategies and target offers to compliment segmentation strategies;
  • Plans and monitors the KA supply situation;
  • Understands the value chain, propose to CP and SE Heads of Sales strategy to fully exploit the value chain and deploy resources as necessary in order to deliver targets;
  • Ensure that company policies are well understood and implemented by the sales function and where necessary by customers;
  • Critical role to drive Syngenta growth with Key Account customers in the country;
  • Manages and develops relation with peers and other functions provide strong functional leadership;
  • Represents Syngenta and its product / service portfolio in a professional and competent manner;
  • Follow-up of the clients’ satisfaction subsequently to the sales season’s end;
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation and competition laws;
  • Defends and promotes the image of Syngenta, its offer and services;
  • Builds solid and professional relationship based on recognized expertise and trust with customers and influencers;
  • Proposes, develops and delivers specific technical and commercial trainings for channel distributors’ fieldfare, with support from marketing and technical teams.
