In this role, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the TE Sensor Solutions (TESS) site material flow and logistics, including safety, warehouse operations, stock management, key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service and cost, transportation, customer satisfaction, and management information systems.
You will also be responsible for the TESS self-operated Distribution Center (DC), such as the one in Timisoara as well as cross-site Supply Chain network.
Provide day to day primary management of the TESS Global DC team while working closely with the DC manager to develop the staff of the Logistics team.
Follow industry best practices and technology for controlling and movement of material
Lead inventory reviews and audits, shipping / receiving functions and ensuring regulatory compliance is met
Collaborate with various departments such as Finance, Network Operations, IT, Marketing, Facilities, Sales and Legal to design, document and implement logistics processes that best fit the needs of the organization
Be the department Subject Matter Expert on domestic and international transportation, global supply chain network and in-site material flow
Participate in business systems initiatives : selection, testing, integration and training projects
Provide management guidance to the provisioning team as a backup to ensure business continuity
Participate in New Product Introduction efforts to help bring new / updated products to market
Research, implement and lead digital warehouse and visual material flow projects globally
Be responsible for all material stored and for the building operations in which the material is stored.
Drive business process improvement and standardization within the facility that is aligned across the global site, i.e.
packaging, license tags, complaint process, quality process, etc. and drive productivity improvements and process efficiencies for the organization
Ensure that the TE Operation Advantage Program is deployed and understood by all warehouse and DC associates and used to manage all aspects of the warehouse / DC to drive productivity and process improvements.
What your background should look like :
University degree in Business, Supply Chain, and / or Engineering with at least 10 years of professional experience.
A background in manufacturing environment logistics, experience with lean manufacturing / six sigma tools is preferred
Demonstrated personal leadership of DC teams, demonstrating organizational and management skills, and achieving quality results through team interaction and effective cross-group collaboration
Experience with SAP or warehouse management system, ERP system is a plus
Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to analyze data and use critical thinking to reach logical conclusions and decisions;
results oriented; relies on fact-based logic for decision-making.
Ability to influence senior management through well formulated presentations and discussions.
A detailed understanding of business processes and the ability to institute / influence change management as needed.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build cohesive teams to meet demand is required with the ability to lead, direct, change, and manage.
English at a business fluent level.
