Inviting applications for the role of Senior Transition Manager

Day-to-day transition planning & management (including escalations and issues / risk management) :

Transition management of the assigned large transition projects in line with the Genpact Transition methodology and tools

Transition plan and budget management for the assigned transitions :

  • Understand the Transition Plan, focus on timelines, budget and assumptions;
  • Deliver the project in line with the above, or highlight the required adjustments;
  • Ensure that the right resources are proactively aligned to the project;

  • Transition budget tracking and reporting;
  • Proactive Risk management for the assigned transition projects;
  • Exposure to tools and technologies offered to enhance effectiveness of the assigned process;
  • Extensive understanding of the End to End Process with reasonable understanding of linkages;
  • Effectively communicate project expectations and roles and responsibilities, in line with Transition RACI to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion;
  • Establish governance and meeting cadence with customers and cross-functional teams;
  • Coordinate with customer PMO on dependencies, risks & issues;
  • Manage relationships with the customer stakeholders & also internal teams throughout;
  • Act as a coach and trusted advisor for the clients in the transition journey;
  • Track day-to-day tasks as per project plan, highlight risks & put in place mitigation action plans

    Prepare Tollgate report-out docs & own completion of all tollgate deliverables

  • Escalate pending activities as per escalation matrix for the project;
  • Maintain action, issue, risk logs and keep the teams updated about changes in status through proactive communication;
  • Ensure regular status reporting during critical phases of transition to client and Genpact stakeholders on actual progress against target;
  • Support the TL in running transition workshops both for internal stakeholders and clients;
  • Collaborate with Client Project Manager and Genpact teams to ensure that all contractual milestones and deliverables related to transition projects are met;
  • Own the internal & customer facing reporting on transition performance, as per the defined reporting procedures;
  • Building strategic relationship skills experience with peers from operations and with operating leaders to facilitate goals and objectives;
  • Senior Transition Manager may either be aligned to large transition project or as a SPOC for the overall transition within the region.

    In this scenario, he / she will not only have the responsibility to manage own project, but will also be accountable for the overall delivery within the region.

    There maybe also a small number of Transition Managers aligned to the regional SPOC to support individual projects delivery.

    In this scenario following responsibilities will be added :

    Motivates / manages transition managers for desired levels of performance and quality deliverable

    Coaches transition managers on their daily work

    Adherence to Transition Policies & Procedures

    Adherence to the Risk Assessment Framework and Governance for the transition project managed

    Ensure Common Minimum Practices (CMP) are set up for the ongoing transition, schedule CMP calls and drive closure

    Ensure projects are created in Gentrac (project management tool), monitor & maintain latest status of project

    Initiate Change Request as relevant and as discussed with TL

    Ensure VoC are triggered (customer / stakeholder feedback) post tollgate signoff; share scores with entire project team

    Secure accurate and timely reporting against the transition metrics and measurements for the managed transition projects

    Knowledge building and sharing. Talent development

    Create specific learning & best practice documents, review with TL, and share through collaboration platform (TransForum)

    Focus on personal learning and continuous development, adhere to the personal development plan, built in line with the transition specific competencies and personal development needs identified

    Participate / Lead Global transition initiatives

  • Train, mentor and coach other team members regarding the daily tasks whenever necessary and requested by the manager;
  • Invest in upskilling the team, support PDP and experiential learning through coaching, knowledge management & collaterals update (case studies, risk champions etc.)

  • Bring innovation and new methodology on the market -Transition as a differentiator; New transition models;
  • Bring in external perspectives and evolving practices in project management & change management processes

    Request for Proposal - timely & high quality answers to RFP’s

    Gather inputs from SME as per discussion with TL

    Work closely with the business leaders to understand their needs and participate in Solution Design

    Work on transition solution in terms of cost, plan & migration strategy

    Create first level transition plan and cost, review with TL, and make changes as required

    Create summary view of costs as per requirement (by tower, by region, or any other cut)

    Draft responses to relevant RFP questions; review all output with concerned TLs

    University graduate

    Extensive experience in a relevant field and relevant multinational companies

    At least mid-level experience of Project management / active Transitions

  • Exposure to project management principles and tools;
  • Work experience in global environment

  • Experience in engaging into strategic and tactical discussion with senior stakeholders to sell the product offering;
  • Is open to extensive travelling;
  • Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Organized personality with attention to details, able to work simultaneously on different projects;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of Genpact and customer organizations;
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, presentation and influencing skills;
  • Excellent problem solving abilities and innovative approach upon : introduce new or modified work processes to accomplish the most with the least overall expenditure of time and resources;
  • Excellent change management abilities : leads and manages changes; can work in ambiguity; manage complex tasks simultaneously;
  • and manage stress on the job

  • Strong relationship building skills and customer-service Orientation; understand clients’ needs & business contingencies;

  • Can take decisions independently and display maturity while making decisions;
  • PMP, Prince certifications are an advantage

    Post-graduation degree would be an advantage
